I don’t think it needed three seasons. The entire extended Lord of the Rings film trilogy is twelve hours. Twelve could have done The Stand justice.
People point to American Gods but that show has apparently become a mess that is barely following the book.
Multiple seasons would have been nice, and would probably be better so that they could fully flesh out the characters. But if limited to just one I think they could have also done it way better than what we got. I think they spent so much time on the end that they sacrificed building up the characters, so unless you're familiar with the work you don't really know them, and even then I had zero connection to any of them. That was the biggest thing missing for me.
OOH... I'm adding this to my listen list.... thanks so much for posting.
CBS All Access is basically just a Skull and Crossbones for me now. I shudder to think what they're going to do to poor Frasier Crane.
Quick reminder that the book "The art of the stand", which will contains King's script for the last episod, will be released in just 10 days!

(Kind of sad the critic blurb is from King )
Am told that it will only be on DVD in the UK, to be released on october 18th
Bumping an old thread but I'm just now finally getting around to watching this. Just finished Episode 6 last night. I agree with what a lot of other people have already said. The non-linear story-telling has made this very difficult to watch. And this is coming from someone that has read the book at least 3 times and watched the original mini-series more than once.
Often it takes me a few seconds to realize they did time jump. I can't imagine someone that's isn't familiar with the source material keeping up at all.
I was going to suggest this exact same thing. :P
EDIT: Someone did it.

Remember the series (now on Paramount+)?
One of the confusing thing was the order it was put into.... well there is a fan-edit version out there !

Oh, right, sorry !
Can the DVDs be used as frisbees??
Thanks to both of you for the link. I'll definitely be rewatching this, now in the correct order.
