It's a very exclusive club, and all memberships are taken. Your best bet is to get in one of the club member's will, so that when they die, the membership is passed on to you.
See that's complicated b/c then I'd be hoping for the death of someone who had put me in their will.
I appreciate that info, I was also asking in a general nature. I know this is the Suntup Thread and obviously that was my primary reason, but I have always wondered how this happens with all books. I've bought all types for years and never even been offered an opportunity to receive an advance reader's copy except once from Grim Oaks & that was with pre-order.

In general most review copies go to influential people in the media or who have an association with the project - journalists, book reviewers, bloggers, agents, publishers, editors, etc. With Suntup, if you bought at the Silver or Gold level subscription, ARCs are included.
