Okay, thanks for that.

This was something I really appreciated about last week's episode, as well. I also adore how the series has taken this long to get to this parallel, establishing Molly first as the sidekick, essentially, (with the nice little red herring of her partner and his pregnant wife drawing a little parallel with Marge and her husband,) then we had Molly and Gus working together as partners and slowly developing as something a little more than that, and now we see, as you said, the clear parallel to Marge and her rather cute, slightly laid back marriage to her husband. I think taking this long to get to this point and taking the time to establish Molly as very much her own character and not just a Marge copy really helped - seeing the parallel is something to make the audience appreciate it rather than making instant unfavourable comparisons to the original source material. I've said it once, I'll say it again: Fargo is one of the best film-to-TV adaptations I have ever seen.
Incredible finale. Wrapped it up o so nicely. This is the best series I have seen in quite a while, no scratch that (since I just watched True Detective a few months ago.) What with these two shows plus Game of Thrones, what an awesome year of episodic tv!
Hats off to Noah Hawley, he did a bang up job
This show seemed to get better with each episode. I wasn't sure if I liked it after the first episode but I loved it by the last. I think that shows the strength of the writing that it just kept getting stronger. I didn't know who to cheer for in the Malvo/Lester showdown. It was crazy how much Lester changed in a year but the writing made it believable.
Watched the finale on Sunday and absolutely loved it. I think the only complaint I have isSpoiler:But everything else was perfect, I thought. In fact, I loved the whole series, especially the parallels between Gus and Lester, and how after encountering Lorne, each went their own path towards light or darkness. I seriously cannot wait for the blu ray release, so I can watch the whole thing again (not something I often rush out to do, but I just adore the story of this show so much). In the meantime, I might check out True Detective. I've heard a lot of great things about that. 07-23-2015 04:11 AMmae 07-23-2015 06:25 AMBev VincentAwesome! 07-23-2015 02:29 PMLautererCooooool... i loved first series... 07-23-2015 04:21 PMStill ServantSuch a great cast for the new season of Fargo. I'm a huge fan of Nick Offerman, but I noticed they didn't put his name in the trailer. I hope he's in it a lot. He's so good.
I have a feeling Fargo's season 2 is going to work better than True Detective's season 2.
I love the line from the teaser they released earlier, "Gimme' a chocolate glaze."

I just read about it in Entertainment Weekly and it sounded interesting.
Not to mention it takes place in my home state of Connecticut, which is cool. 10-19-2015 02:21 PMDoctorDodgeCaught the first episode of the new series. Oh, I'm so glad this show is back. Definitely one of my favourites. I was a little worried that the low reception season 2 of True Detective received would be a bad sign, (not that I watched it, I was certainly in no rush after all the bad reviews,) but despite a whole new cast of characters, it still feels brilliantly Fargo. I love that it still has the cute married couple template (loved seeing little Molly having a story read to her), I loved the moment at the diner that made you think, "Well THAT escalated quickly!", I even loved the ordinary couple with Kirsten Dunst and Meth Damon (let's be honest, it's gonna be a while before he loses that name) getting caught up in it all. I'm certainly excited to see where it's all heading, anyway. 10-19-2015 03:09 PMtippy4Meth Damon.....I have to assume that is a Breaking Bad / kind of looks like Matt Damon nichname? 10-19-2015 03:14 PMDoctorDodgeYeah, it's a name I've seen a few people use to describe him a few times. And it's really, really hard to stop calling him that. 10-19-2015 05:48 PMStill ServantJesse Plemons. Honestly, I've never really seen the resemblance to Damon dating all the way back to when I first saw him on Friday Night Lights.
I do hear a lot of people referring to him as a Matt Damon clone. 10-19-2015 08:23 PMLookwhoitisFargo the series is the best show on TV imo. Im so happy it is back and kicking azz. 10-19-2015 09:11 PMMerlin1958Great episode once again!!!! 10-20-2015 03:35 AMRUBEThis show seems to always produce unlike some other series that also have a new story each year.
Who's hungry for some hamburger now? 10-20-2015 04:12 PMStill ServantThe scene in the diner from the first episode was fantastic in so many ways. I really loved how they kept cutting back to the swinging door as all the shit was going down. Very good editing choice. 10-21-2015 02:58 AMBev VincentI also liked the scene between Ted Danson and the three Missouri mobsters. Fraught with tension. 10-21-2015 08:18 PMtippy4There is no way Danson makes it to the end of the season alive. 10-22-2015 01:10 PMMattrickI gotta.check this show out. I like the eclectic cast I keep seeing in commercials. I'm a huge Jean Smart fan so I'm happy whe found her way into another quality TV show.
