What I'm really curious about now that we're about to hit 2016 is that often repeated number of "more than 350 million" books sold over King's career. As far as I can tell, that number, albeit vague, goes back at least ten years. If you look at King's Wikipedia article:

That claim is linked to a BBC article from November 22, 2006. So in ten years King's numbers haven't increased any? I know it says "more than", so it can be anything - 400, 500 million. But what's the newest and most up to date estimate?
