How shall I compose a quaint riddle for thee?
Faith, methinks I lack skill with the usage of words.
Canst thou answer my query with these questions three?
Or shall answers prove far more elusive than birds?

I am dark as the night, yet more visible far
Than the light, and I'm made in the depths of the sea.
Sounds take form with my help, and I'm kept in a jar.
O canst thou now tell me what truly I be? INK (answered by BROWNINGS CHILDE)

As my outsides grow, inwardly I grow more quickly.
Now how can this state of affairs come to be?
I'm as tall as I am wide and equally thickly.
O canst thou confer my right name unto me? CUBE (answered by Jon)

If I'm going your way, let me please take you there,
Though forsooth if I do it will not be for free.
You'll not lack for much company if you've the fare,
O canst thou have to this third question the key? BUS (answered by Candice Dionysus)

If you still need a hint, then I hesitate much
To respond, as it isn't a pleasure to know.
If he comes to your bed you'll experience such
A great trauma--for he will stoop frightfully low.

INCUBUS (guessed by BROWINGS CHILDE)

Well written...but I am stumped. I'll keep thinking.

"I'm as tall as I am wide and equally thickly."

Does this imply a cube?

Does this imply a cube?

Cube is correct! One clue down, two to go!

Some sort of mass transportation?

It is indeed, now what kind is it? :)

Is it some kind of plane? If the pilot come to my bed we will fall?

It's not a plane, and that stanza has nothing to do with the general overall answer clue.

Think about the second clue: CUBE....

Energy/ wind? I think I'm too dense for this lol

Ha, no, it's neither. I honestly thought it would be too EASY. "Dark as the night"? "Kept in a jar"? "Sounds take form with my help"?

Nope, not even close.

Think of a vehicle with "much company" for a fare....

It's a bus or a train. Like the subway trains in Toronto, or the shit bus services here in Barrie.

I'm going to go officially with train. But bus is a secondary guess.

One of those is correct, but I'm not going to tell you which one. :P

Great riddle...not TOO many hints needed yet still defiantly not a "pushover."

And WELL written!

Well played, BC.
