I am trying to complete my collection and this is the one that’s missing. I would be interested in an outright purchase (depending on price) of a trade of cash and a PC (number 3) of the lettered Thinner.

Almost 8 years I had to sell a bunch of books out of necessity. David at Betts bought them.
Most of them have been replaced but some aren't so easy. I sold a King signed 2nd edition Gunslinger and a King signed 3rd edition Gunslinger. If anyone on here happen to buy them and would like to sell them back to me that would be great.
I know the first name of the person who bought the 3rd edition, Eric. I had contacted him several years ago about purchasing it back but after saying maybe he stopped responding to me.

I was contacted by a member and I am actually getting my signed 2nd edition back!! Very appreciative of the persons willingness to let it go from their collection so I could get it back.

That just leaves the 3rd edition. So if you bought a signed 3rd edition Gunslinger from Betts about 8 years ago and are willing to let me buy it back please contact me. As mentioned above I was in contact with the person but communication was stopped. Not holding out hope for this one but we'll see.

I would add that there is also the very elusive french proof with the letter from King to booksellers. I only know of 3 copies :evil:

herbertwest I have heard that there is like these holographic editions from overseas, is that what you mean? I can't remember if they are ARCs or if they are just special editions.

I think this is the one Cemetery Dance offered years ago but I'm not 100% sure.

It's out of print, but an email to CD (Brian or Dan) could clarify if there is a spare or two buried somewhere. Of course as I type this 25 people have probably already inquired...

I don't have his info handy, but it should be available in the slipcases thread in Calvins corner. Or you can PM Simon Mason who works closely with him. Making an exact duplicate can likely be done, but will be 20-30 bucks more for the plates and color. Cheaper and just as nice are the aftermarket cases he already makes which are usually black or white, but contact him and work it out. He's a great guy, easy to work and communicate with and will respond to e-mails fairly quickly.

Jerome, you may be right, but he did say "Anyone know where I could find this traycase for the Full Dark, No Stars trade edition"? which I took to mean that he had the book, but the traycase was damaged or missing and he was looking for a traycase only. Jeff, does great work with Tray cases and Slipcases. Maybe I should have been more specific?

In any case, I'm sure he will chime in at some point and let us know whether it was a help or not.

Well, since you only want the traycase, Whiley is the waay to go. He can duplicfate the CD one for a lot less than you are likely to pay for one on ebay or anywhere else unless, you get lucky at CD. Your call though and as I said, GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

I actually have an extra FDNS tray case - but its the Blue CD case w silver/red lettering - but that is a little large for the 1st trade version - I have a generic slipcase for my signed trade version. I actually have this tray case (NOT for sale!) but it took years to find. I also went down the CD route a while ago, but they don’t have any.

Btw Jeff does NOT make tray cases (despite my many attempts to get him to do so), he only does slipcases.

I have an extra signed limited edition (No.418) of "Floating Dragon" that I would be looking to trade for a, King First, S/L or AE of equal value if anyone is interested.
