If I was able to locate an unsigned block I would bind it with different artwork.

My intent would be to have a custom bound book made for my collection.

But you (and Ben Mears) bring up a good question. I don't have any of the art prints, and so unless I tried to hunt those down as well I wouldn't be able to include the art. Since the book is for me, and not for resale, I might just have it bound without the artwork if I wasn't able to find it. It would be less than ideal, but having a neat custom binding of an important book is the main goal, so I might be able to convince myself to do without the art. :orely:

After these comments, I'm less optimistic about finding an unbound set to begin with, but that's always part of the challenge. So I'm still very much interested!!

Would use photographs of locations (Shiloh Church/Marsten House model, Harmony Grove (Hill) Cemetery etc) I took when visiting Durham & Lisbon Falls in 2017 or paintings by Robert Addison, the artist I used for the Second Coming prototype. Five total images:Title page, three part openers and epilogue. Would also excise One For The Road, Jerusalem's Lot and the deleted scenes. This would be a custom 'Salem's Lot only.

There were two sets of prints done by Centipede. I don't know the amount of each produced, but 50 total for the two complete sets sounds (feels) about right. For reasons unknown, there are also incomplete sets out there. Jerad says he doesn't recall how many complete sets of the two he produced.
I recall when the second set of prints was released, and that other than a minor difference in paper stock, they were virtually indistinguishable from another. Literally if you shuffled two sets together, then mixed and matched the pics and asked a third part to distinguish between the two, they would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

I would try them again, but just so you know, I'm not sure if they make any. I got my Pet Sem directly from them and the slipcase was scratched. When I contacted them, they said they didn't have any extras.

No problem. Until a few days ago, their Slipcases section did not have The Outsider anymore. On the suggestion of a member of one of my King communities, I emailed them directly and inquired about any extra copies. They ended up replying that they had a few lying around, and made a manual order for me. A few days later, the slipcase showed back up in their Slipcases section online. Not saying I made that happen necessarily. Anywho that's how I learned that it's worth it to ask, even if it seems gone from their store.

Big time. There is many issues with finding one. It has to have the right address (Madison which is harder to find than you think) and THEY all seem to be inscribed which I would not want in the Rebound. And now you have 52 people looking for one. I would say, unless you A) are super lucky, B) have one currently, C) have a BIG trade or $$ to get someone to give up... you might have an impossible task ahead of you.

I have no horse in this race, so Im just throwing this out there: if it is going to be rebound anyhow, couldn't you just remove the page from the BCE and replace the relevant page in the rebound edition?
Might be too much work for Paul, but could be worth discussing. Most S/Ls are simply a bound in page, and i think these rebounds include additional bound-in limitation pages so i don't see this as breaking any 'collecting rules'.

It could be done. The usual problem (can't verify Cujo now as I'm not home) is that if King signs on the title page, the flipside on many books is the CR page. In this situation, I would recommend not dismantling a true 1st edition with a nice signature/inscription. Temporarily, the prices on signed Cujo's will spike, but a signed NF+ true 1st will be more as a stand alone book than the price a rebound Cujo with the signature in it will fetch.

In other words, beautiful signed 1st Cujo ~$500+. Rebound Cujo ~$1.2K issue.
