I didn't bother clicking on it. I just assumed that if the site has a button to buy the product then the product is available. Silly me.

Hmmm, I liked it, well at least 2/3 of it anyway.

Every once in a while you'll hear about a hit and run where the driver drove home with the pedestrian still stuck in the windshield and left to die in the garage (maybe they are urban legends, but vaguely recall seeing on the news). I always wonder if the corpse is saying "Thanks for the ride Lady!"

It's happened at least twice that I've heard of and I kinda like Creepshow 2 as well. It's far from the worst movie associated with King's work.

I'd say that was a little low as prices have been climbing recently on this book. But I also agree the auction prices are too high. I'd say possibly $600 - $700 and $850 - $950 if #< 500

I'm sure Mr RT (after he has finished his Birthday celebrations) will chime in with some recent sales numbers...

I didnt realize the higher the number the lower the value. The one accepting offers is #272.

It is because of collectors wishing to get matching sets.
DT I only had 500 numbered copies, so in order to get full matching numbered set you have to get all books <#500
DT II had 850 copies, so thats the next band (for those that will never afford to own a <500 DT I)

It's not necessarily always that way. You have to realize to get a fully matching dark tower set you have to have a number under 500 (the number of limited gunslingers produced). That means there's a premium on books under 500.

The Gunslinger S/L (http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/showwiki.php?title=Gunslinger+The+DTI+-+Lettered+and+S+L) production run was only 500 copies. There is a premium for the rest of the series for #1 - #500 because of the possibility of a matching number set.

Alright guys and gals.... I'm reading IT again for the first time in 15-20 years. It is really moving up my list of favorite SK books. It has only gotten more perfectly terrifying over the year. I'd REALLY like to get a copy of the CD Numbered edition (and portfolio, though not essential, but if I'm going to dream I'll dream big). Is there ANYBODY here that could offer me a decent deal for one of their extra copies? These just don't come around that I've been lucky enough to find at the time that they're going up. Is there anyone able to make my year?

I have so far found 30 of the recent new Pocket Books King reprints. However, I have been unable to locate THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE, WOLVES OF THE CALLA, THE SONG OF SUSANNAH or THE DARK TOWER, and probably others I'm not even aware of. If anyone has 1sts of these to sell, I am interested.

I'm looking for a King's signed paperback/pocket book that's not very expensive. It's a gift for a friend that doesn't really collect but loves King and I'd like him to have a signed book.

Both of those are really high. I'd say no more than 500-600 if the number is over 800.

I just sold one under #100 for $1100 so they are definitely going up in price. WTTKH that is.

I am not a Scotsman of some means. My total income for last year ending 6th April, was £1,850. I do not have a job, but I do not winge about it like every other person on here who does not have a job.

When Gerald or others ask for huge sums, no one says anything about them. So what's wrong with me asking for a lot for a very rare book that hardly ever comes up for sale. The Lettered Regulators has less copies, but there has been several for sale this year. The person selling it on Betts wanted $8,000 for it. What's the difference?

Are you sure there is one with a full number line? Maybe they all start with a 2 because this is the 2nd printing, the 1st being in 1982.

As far as differences, if I recall, the original had glossy pages while the new one doesn't.

It is a trade-paperback edition, with a lousy reputation over here, as it's missing a few hundred pages.
The publisher found the original too long (too costly??) to publish so decided to go for an abbreviation..

If you want it, I could try to hunt a copy down for you.

Saw the two book hardcover Japanese edition of It in the foreign book thread. Looks pretty cool. Does anyone know where I can find a copy? Thanks.
