What about Jake at the abandoned lot??

Arthur Heath

So here it is. Take a scene, moment from anyplace/when of the series and reenact it. Snap hi-res images and we can start laying out a calendar. Im sure there's free layouts on the net, which I will start looking up.
Lets keep the think tank rolling people.

i like it. cafe press is where the dt.net ones were done. i don't know if there's a better/cheaper outfit out there. but it's an option.

and hi-res images is key. there were some issues with shitty photos in the dt.net calendar, and it caused much trouble.

i'll help out in any way that seems fitting. ;)

Mike - I believe my company has gone with cafe press before, thanks for reminding me. So this is what I will do. I'll look up pricing from a variety of different manufacturers and see how much a run of calendars will cost. It will largely be based on how many we want printed. I'll also see if we can put something together with a calendar template, which seems to be all over the internet, and then send it off to a printer - which may be cheaper. I'll start digging this weekend, though I'm sure I wont have any answers as everyone will be close. So give me one week from today and I'll share what I have. Anyone else is also welcome to dig around, as the more people we have on it the more options we can explore. It would seem Matt has some experience with this, so your input would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else that may have some insight, please also share.
Oh and start thinking of your scene :)

What if all the guys who participate want to dress up as Roland? And why was I never aware of that Dt.net calendar thing? :(

Arthur Heath
09-14-2007, 11:14 AM
I'm more worried about getting 12 participants than having too many Roland's. I plan to be The Prisoner anyways...

Matt and Beck have some prior experience putting something like this together, so this should be pretty good.

Oh! do the coked out scene!! Or if you can find a baboon, and somehow train him to stand behind you with a violent look and holding a whip, you'd be my hero :)

I am pretty sure I will revise Jack Mort if we do it. Love the plan so far and this should be something we can throw together pretty easily

Mike's post up there is the biggest deal, the pics have to be something we can work with which means no webcams.

Ok. Who does the naked Eddie in the gunfight from DOTT?

Matt
09-15-2007, 10:01 AM

I think, if you crouched right, it could be done just like the artwork.

The problem with this is we need to be able to make the pages of the month collages so that everyone who wants to can be involved.

If its one person per month, that means only twelve.

Randall Flagg
09-15-2007, 10:06 AM
Make it a 14 month calendar and have two months devoted to each book. Collage the pics for each month depending on the characters picture.
