Ive got 8 dead pine trees in my backyard that need moving, Matt :) Its ok, theyre only covered in extremely irritating sap and bugs.

Ruki
05-06-2007, 06:39 PM
why the hell do you have eight dead pine trees in your yard?

ZoNeSeeK
05-06-2007, 06:57 PM
Because of this shithouse canker virus that got into them just after we moved in. Those, in combination with the shitty grass that hasnt had enough water for 2 years because I refuse to water that much lawn in summer makes the back yard look like something near chernobyll, but we're slowly sorting it out and are planting things that could survive a volcanic winter. At the moment we just close the blinds and pretend there isnt all this work to do :)

And im chopping trees down with a pruning saw. Its just so much fun i think im going to explode.

ZoNeSeeK
05-06-2007, 07:24 PM
Ruki: nah, hardy trees and varieties probably. Something that wont die too easily :) Probably alot of natives, eucalyptus etc. Something to block out the derro neighbours at the back of us. I hate being in my yard and being able to see our neighbours.

Aaron
05-06-2007, 10:14 PM
For the time and effort involved in trying to move the trees, I would recommend going to your local United Rentals and renting a woodchipper. It's much easier to move bags of chips than it is to move trees. And--unless the virus would still be in the trees (dunno about that)--you could use the chips as mulch for your new trees. Just throwing out ideas... :cowboy:

ZoNeSeeK
05-07-2007, 12:48 AM
Thats probably a good idea - we should probably get a big compost bin sorted out aswell. Ideally we're going to be doing alot of earth moving and planting saplings so will need heaps of mulch. This would all be great if we weren't a pair of retarded procrastinators, which we are :)

That pine pitch canker disease is a big deal out here in California. I'd really do your research before deciding whether to use the dead infected trees as mulch.

*falls out in a dead faint*

After my last baby was born, I harrassed the nurses about taking a shower so badly that they wrapped my arm (complicated IV thingie) in a trash bag and let me shower. They told my husband that they had never seen any one want a shower like I did.

Diem bought me back 2 bottles of vodka from Russia. The bottes were frosted but on the front was a clear patch and inside the bottle on the opposite side was coloured glasswork, so you look through the little clear window and see a mountain village or a church or whatever was painted on there. Was awesome! Also, the best vodka ive ever had, zero smell and i felt kinda high after a couple of drinks so who knows what it was filtered with. Diem came home and i was talking to myself, but hey, I was having fun :P

I'll try to track it down for you.

Nah bro, don't worry about it, I've contacted the company to see if I can import for just me. I hope I don't have to order like 100 bottles at a time or something, that would be hard to explain to the wife......

ok, i just read that you contacted their rep too.... sounds cool, i wonder who gets a response first?

I really appreciate it, quid. Hey, ebay has one of the genie looking bottles for 95 bucks, claiming it was hand made by artesans in mexico, fucken liars. The website has nothing on it about the bottles being handmade.

Yes, I imagine that buying 100 bottles of tequila would be hard to explain to the wife. If you do though let me know. I might need one of those.
