Basically, I'm just making this thread for when I come post crappy excuses for poetry or short prose or single chapters from longer prose to see if they're useful for anything. I do have ONE piece, that is a word in progress I'd like to share.
Untitled
The Breaking Breeze
Set sail amidst
A long and broken night
Two months 'til freeze
They fled the blitz
Their village by flame alight
Among their kind
Those smiths, many guards
A swordsman true, an archer too
A healer and his blind
Three famous bards
and six sailors for a crew
And at the head
Sat the captain's boy
Mere child but much afeared
The crow's nest his bed
Him far too coy
To so few was he endeared
A mighty storm
That blew at dawn
O'er took the Breeze
Fear now born
The boy's wits are drawn
Rising to his knees
Three words he chants
His face so fixed
On slender violent storms
Solid gaze like a lance
As storm and more mixed
And amongst the clouds raced ethereal forms
Just three breaths past
The storm stops
Parting the center
The sun blasts
One gust lops
a towering thunderhead- O' praise, Defender
I guess it's just going to be a poem about a ship's journey over seas with a wizard aboard up to mischief and great deeds.
