Cut off my feet for a revolutionary figure.
Cut off both, treacherous conditions.
Altogether, some strange eating.

Phonetically, Ka....How would that satisfy the "Western State" clue?

I thought it was abbreviation for Kansas, while now I am beginning to think it's KS

must be "Ca", then, for California

Er...no. The format of the riddle dictates the answer. In this case, the word I am looking for starts with PI, based on the second line and ends with CA, based on the first line and the third line defines the middle part. Put all the pieces together for the answer to the fourth line. Good luck.

Cut off my head for a western state or a king’s fate. CA
CA is the postal abbreviation for California, a western state. In the Dark Tower Ka is similiar to fate (Ca and Ka are phonetically identical)

Cut off my feet for a revolutionary figure. PI
Pi is the calculation of a circle. The number is represented by 3.1415...
best shown here:

From point to point, it is 3.14 revolutions of the given wheel.
The "figure" is found in the revolution of the wheel.

Cut off both, treacherous conditions. IC
IC is a play on the word icy

Altogether, some strange eating. PICA
Pica is an eating disorder best described here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder))

You may be unfamiliar with the format of the riddle and if so, I apologize. It was a fairly common format in days (and forums) past. I suppose I should have explained it.

Good riddle Gabe, although I feel guilty last moment swooping in with answer.

When I saw Pica I knew it was an answer, I use to teach a soil unit to middle school and I talked about geophagia, we use to make an edible soil for the students to eat. Grape Nuts for sand, lecithin for silt and cocoa powder for clay.

Anyhow, I was trying to figure how "I" could be treacherous, how could "C" how could "IC" then the "aha!" moment. That did feel good.

I don't understand how "CA" fit into the answer.

"CA" is at the beginining of the riddle, yet "ca" is at the end of pica.

What am I missing , kind riddlemaster?

Gaberax

Logically, the "ca" piece falls at the end of the answer.

Cut off my head for a western state or a king’s fate.

Pi CA
