I just finished (i mean literally, just finished) the Turtle Rock Dungeon in Link to The Past.
Now i just have to kick Ganon's ass, I the game's over, right?
Bad news(?): I can't find that last heart piece, so I'm going into battle with NINETEEN heart containers.

thanks. um...
where exactly IS Ganon's Tower?

fernandito
01-04-2009, 11:38 AM
Correct, his tower is exactly where the 3rd tower in the original world is at.

Remember that after that battle, you'll have to chase Ganon down to his final lair, which is right beneath that pyramid-temple, where you start off Otherworld.

i found it.:)
it's where the tower of Hera or whatever is in the light world.

I guess 'completed' in the sense that you've gone through the games story mode (or any equivalent thereof) in any difficulty.

Perhaps there should be two sections in the thread : Completed and Overkill

fernandito

You know how many hours it can take if you are a "completist."

Touche' my good friend, touche. Perhaps, viewing it in that light, the Overkill sub title isn't such a bad idea. :orely:

Maybe. :shrugs:

My only concern would be about making the people that didn't beat it on veteran mode or whatever feeling less accomplished and thus less likely to post in the thread and our little gaming community is a small one.

That being said, putting hours and hours into a game is an accomplishment.

Maybe a separate "Greatest Video Game Accomplishment" thread? :orely:

Never too early to begin, right? Just like the 2008 thread. :D Happy Gaming. :grouphug:

Game Cube

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Nintendo DS

The New Super Mario

Currently Playing

Zelda: Twilight Princess
The New Super Mario

Kind of a slow start, but I expect the list to grow very quickly with some of the new releases in the first quarter. I just got a DS and I've got a list of about five games that I'll be hunting down now. :)

I already started a VG List dude! You even posted in it!

I'll merge these in a bit.

I'm really close to finishing Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twilight Princess on my Wii, I actually am putting it off cause I hate feeling like the game is over (even though there is always more to do in those games right?) Besides being kind of busy at the moment. I just don't want Zelda to end...

I know what you mean. After I recently played Twilight Princess again, I've been going back to some of the older games for previous consoles that I haven't played in a long time. Have you played the Gamecube titles? They're compatible with the Wii, and Windwaker and Four Swords are a lot of fun. There's also a master quest version of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Also, you can buy Zelda I and II on the virtual console. There's always the handheld titles as well. I plan on getting Phantom Hourglass here pretty soon. Plenty of Zelda to go around. :D

I actually bought Windwaker for the wii, because I've never owned a gamecube or played it. I haven't started it yet though :) I heard it's great. Also I know of the combined pack where you can get Ocarina, Majora's Mask, the original and another for I believe the gamecube but for wii compatable. I may get that one soly for Majora's Mask, because I have the old school Ocarina...which I started playing for kicks again and didn't finish right before purchasing my Wii.

Yeah, all exciting things. Do you think they will come out with another Zelda title for the Wii like they did for the N64?

theyspunaweb
01-19-2009, 05:12 PM
I won't but I can't say that I know much about all genres of games! Nintendo is really my platform. Zelda, my favorite.

Animal Crossing is alright, I've played the old versions (I think we rented it or something) but from what I've seen the new one was basically pointless for the wii? They didn't change the game much I hear so it was just to make the fans happy I think. I have a younger sister who adores that kind of stuff though, and I think she may have even just bought the game for wii...so I hear about it.

Oh! And I definitely did complete a Wii game! haha Rayman Raving Rabbids!
I bought it because it was so cheap for being an older title. Pretty redundant, but there were a couple of fun mini games in there.

Are there any more adventure type games that you would suggest?

I'm almost finished with Clive Barker's Undying. They were right, it really IS the best game nobody played.

They? "They" is a group of people who believe themselves to be the lords of our lives. they control the media, thought, fashion, science, religion, tennis, the government, human ice, and Jamaica. "They" are what makes it illegal to smoke marijuana in your home. "They" are the corporations and the corprate dogs who control every once of will. "They" make you work yourself to death just so you can continue living, so that you can work. "THEY" ARE THE REASON MTV DOESN'T ACTUALLY PLAY MUSIC!
"They" are "The Man".

I got my first Zelda game 20 years ago, so I understand. And its okay, The video game threads are for anyone that likes video games. :)

Well, you've already played most of the games I would recommend- Zelda and Mario Galaxy. Are you fan of the Metroid Prime series? I think they're pretty cool, and although they're technically first person shooters, they aren't near as difficult as Call of Duty and are very adventure oriented. I also really liked Gun on Gamecube.

I'm sure some of the other guys will have more suggestions.

I don't know if I'd be any good at these shooting games, one that looked interesting to me was gears of war, but that was xbox which I don't have and I don't know if that was any good either, it just looked like it had more of an element of surprise than the others. Also...I've been interested in Resident Evil.

btw, i think it was Gamespot that gave Undying the award.

seriously. try to find this game. it still looks good, it's fun, challenging, and interesting. It's dated, obviously, but still awesome. I think I'm almost finished.

interesting how In past years my finances have been insufficient when it comes to my gaming needs. it's funny that this year, after purchasing a new pc, and having to pay all this shit for senior year, I have been flooded with good games. It's also strange that I've been broke when i buy games i can resell, but I've played a shitload of PC games.

i notice that many of you have aced PoP (i have myself) but has anyone done the prologue, from PS store? Is it worth the cash?

Most of the games i play are impossible to complete (street fighter, tekken, pro evo soccer etc,) as they are online/multiplayer games, though i have just finished final fantasy 1 and 2 for the PSP on my way to and from work.
