Ecco The Dolphin: Creepy game, or creepiest game?

Who remembers these games? Was I the only one who was creeped the hell out by them as a child?

All that creeped me out was Ecco's scream when he got hurt.... That and that stupid octopus I could never get past....

Other than that, though, I kind of liked the game.... It had a nice score to it.

Haha, as do I. I also have a fear of very deep water in general, so that disturbed me about the game too. But seriously, this game has some creepy ass music for a game made about dolphins that I played when I was 7. Seriously, you're a happy dolphin jumping around and then BOOM! You're entire family and everything around you gets sucked into a vortex, then music starts playing and it just gives you the ultimate feeling of being f*cked and alone.

It was a fun and REALLY challenging game though. I actually went and downloaded it for Wii VC and replayed it. Seriously though, I don't think anybody made it past the last level without cheating. =P

I still have that game for Sega Genesis. :D

And yes, it is CREEPY.

On a side note, doesn't the last boss bare a striking resemblance to A L I E N S ?

sega genesis was my only system when i was a kid (n that was in the early 2000s!)
ecco was a great game, so were the vectorman games (almost as creepy 2), i wish they would make new ones on wii though...

Yeah, Ecco is very creepy and disturbing. I tried playing it when I was younger, and I had this odd habit of reflexively trying to hold my real breath when the dolphin's oxygen meter was nearly depleted.
