I have a copy. It has a very fine imperfection in the goatskin binding. Such imperfections are well know, and are part of the patina of the book. They are not significant flaws that would deem an item unacceptable.

I was intrigued today to hear of a collector questioning the condition of a Lettered Regulators copy that had been received and was deemed unacceptable. Apparently the tray case was showing some very fine marks in the grain of the tray case.
I am fortunate to own three copies of this particular book and have purchased four others on behalf of other members on this forum. None of the seven copies were without a slight mark of some description. Be it the tray case, the bullet wear marks internally or the rubber buffers slightly marking the leather, if of course the grain of the leather was not already showing natural marks of its own.
I fully appreciate that people new to the world of King collecting are on a learning curve as I soon found out (at suitable expense) myself. However it would seem prudent that when purchasing a book for the first time, especially one of this price bracket, that a little assistance is not secured from the collectors here, of what to expect with each book. To embark on securing a copy not often seen, without doing a little homework from members happy to help, would appear foolhardy in the extreme.

Hi Alec, if its the one I think it is, I saw the unboxing video. He believed there were small cracks on the underside, but I take it they were blemishes?

For an older book I would expect such things, but I would have them all clarified and happy before sale complete, especially with a prestigious book as this. Sets expectations.

I'm not privy to the sale so this may or may not have happened.

That being said... I would think if you are purchasing that book, plus others, that pictures are traded and I would look for things that would bother me. Since I buy the book to be in its forever home...I am probably not as picky as others.

Hi Mike, I believe I did! I was in between jobs end 2016 and 2017 and had to part with some of my collections then. Now trying to rebuild again. It's just so satisfying looking at LE designs or just staring at them.

In humid Singapore it has always been challenging due to the high humidity. I had to buy lots of dry cabinets to store my books.

Could someone enlighten me? Why the low price for Black House? I mean I paid $500 for mine like 10-12 yrs ago. It's a damn fine production IMHO. Certainly better than the just released, "Later" that is going for 3x that number and more. Lots of other "lesser production" S/L that go for much more. Am I missing something?

No you are not. But there were 1,500 S\L which I think is the most amount of any "limited" There are only 374 Later S\L. I think that has a lot to do with it.
Same thing with Insomnia and Desperation. Two of my favorites.

IMO there is about a 10-20% increase in price here vs the open market. But you get the bonus of dealing with people you know are honest and the book will be as described.

Sarasota Bookstore 1 signed If It Bleeds first printing with cemetery dance slipcase.

The book is in incredible shape. As we all know these were shipped in a bubble envelope and almost every copy sustained some sort of damage. This one is the best conditioned copy I have ever seen. The dust jacket has been replaced with a mint copy that I purchased from Barnes and Noble when the book was first released. The slipcase is also mint condition.

Included in your purchase will be the original receipt and bookmark given out with these books.

IMO, that's not clear : given the $550 OBO is in a quote, to which you then say price drop, my understanding is that you were asking $550 OBO and now reduces the price. To an undisclosed amount.
