Selling a signed "Revival"? Hell, I gave 'em away!!! Silly to pay that price. They can be had for much less. Don't buy into the hype!!! Wait it out and you'll be much happier.

why didnt I listen to this advice before I bought one? LOL. (It is because i have a spending problem!)

Kudos to you for spreading the Love Bill

I was joking, Merlin... no serious intent, desire, or obligation to call upon your generosity was intended. My apologies the humorous tone of my post fell flat.

No need to apologize, dude. It's cool.

Salem's Lot, 2nd state (father Cody). I'm no expert on condition, but I bought it from Betts last year and if my memory is correct he had it listed at vg/vg. The dust jacket has some chipping on the spine, and a previous owners name is written on the front end paper. However, overall a very nice copy. Tight binding, no lean. Includes custom slipcase. Asking 500 pp gift, or add 3 percent for goods and services, shipped in the US international at cost.

Roadwork 1st/1st US edition. Nice copy, only issue is typical yellowing - 150
Running Man first - good copy, writing on the bottom page block - 50
The long walk first -slight spine lien and a small library mark on title page - 100
Thinner first - fine copy, no defects I can see - 100

Or all bachmans for 350.

Signed first paperback of Best of american short stories - perfect condition - 130

I'm also open to offers and trades.

So after getting some constructive criticism from a few members about condition, I've decided to throw this on eBay with a cheap start, and let the market determine the value. Here's the link is anyone is interested.

Thanks Jim! Not sure why I can't list on this site. I sold a UK PROOF of FINDERS KEEPERS here less than 6 weeks ago. I also have been selling Steve's books for over 35 years and have sold to all the big collectors. Also donated books to Haven Foundation on this very site.

I believe I fixed the problem (for Badmoonbooks). Roy had only 2 posts and our spam software (which works remarkably well) queued his posts. The world may be coming to and end, but at least Hutch and Roy can sell their stuff before the internet fails...

Roy is a horrible person.

15 years ago he invites me into his home, and shows me a world I knew nothing about (King signed/limited).

I bought my first S/L from him that day, and ever since, I am an addict.

Thanks Roy....thanks a lot!

All kidding aside, I have had nothing but good dealings with Roy.

In fact, recently a member here had something "drop shipped" from Roy to me, and the slipcase showed up a bit damaged...and Roy took care of it immediately.

Of course I remember that signing. Stu had you standing by King the whole time as bodyguard or enforcer or whatever. King was drinking a Diet Coke and when he finished he dropped his toothpick in it. You picked it up and handed it to Judy (my wife) for safekeeping. Then you forgot about it and thought you had lost it or someone had stolen it. You were pissed. I brought it to your house a year or so later as a surprise when I came out there for my civil suit against Michael Autrey. Do you still have it?

Yes. True. Judy and I held on to that empty Diet Coke bottle with the toothpick at the bottom for a long time trying to decide how best to get it back to Roy. I finally took it with me to California when I was due for a court appearance on a civil suit I was bringing against Michael Autrey for cheating me out of some money on a King book. Bob Sprowell (iowabob) and I went over to Roy's house and I surprised him with it. He, of course, had forgotten all about it by then. I'm sure it could be used as a DNA source if Roy ever decided to clone Stephen.

Here's an interesting tidbit. The person who bought a whole bunch of my Arkham House editions off eBay (and a few King books as well) was Josh Boone, currently directing The Stand. Who knew?

Dear Dave,

Thank you, sir! I hope to buy more. I actually am writing and directing King's THE STAND for Warner Brothers!

Are you going to post more?

- Josh Boone

I told him The Stand was my all-time favorite book and he'd better not screw it up! LOL

Hey All -

I need to let go of a few items to help cover some unfortunate financial issues coming right before the 4th holiday and a family vacation to my home town in western upstate NY, followed by a tacked on drive to Bridgton for the Finders Keepers signing.

Here's what's on offer, more may be added soon as I figure out what else I can bear to let go:

1 Stephen King signed copy of Finders Keepers with the CD slipcase (I'll ship slipcase separately when it arrives from CD) - please PM offers - to help w/expectations, looking for ~$600 w/slipcase
- Regular PayPal for your protection is fine or PP Gift if you want to save little money - I have references and also:
- Happy to provide proof since this is a presale. Will send picture of bank statement charge from Bridgton Books for signing tickets and my CD order notification for slipcase
- Also including a picture of the signing (if at all possible I'll get one for you), and one signing ticket (assuming they give out 1 per book, which they should)
- Shipping of book will covered free, but slipcase will be at cost for you once it arrives from CD (if you choose to get book immediately, I'll ship both free if you want to wait for slipcase)
- I'm flying from Bangor to LA for a week's work before heading home to FL - so while I'll get you pictures of your book within a day of signing, it'll most likely take until Saturday 18th July for me to ship it to you using USPS Priority

Dandelion Wine S/L Ray Bradbury by PS Publishing 2007 - I listed this a week or so ago at $250 - two copies of this edition sold for $299 on eBay during May - will part for $200 (or $190 for PP Gift)
- NF book, DJ and slipcase, never read - 1 of 200 slipcased (actual number is #2!) and signed by Bradbury with Stephen King intro and beautiful Tomislav Tikulan illustrations
- This is not the 1/100 2 volume Dandelion signed by both Bradbury and King (those go for ~$750)

Horns - S/L Joe Hill and Vincent Chong signed Traycased by PS Publishing - NF++ book and DJ in a VG+ traycase with bumping mainly to one corner - pics readily available - $300 PP Gift or $310 Standard PayPal Goods Payment
- This is one of the 1/200 traycased, author and artist signed editions - a Publisher's Copy stamped as such by PS
- Includes extra material not in the slipcased and signed edition

Sorry to go a little off topic.

I sent KingKornKarn a PM, because I have #2 of the 200 copy signed edition sitting on my shelf. I purchased it direct from PS back when it was published and the number was a specific request.
I seem to remember this happening another time with a PS book, but one of them belonged to a lifetime subscriber. Does anyone remember if there was any indication that differentiated the lifetime subscriber version?

Very interesting. Been PM'ing you on this. I just checked my copy to be sure its #2 and it is, although my number is written in black ink rather than red & the 2 is a little curlier, more like a cursive L.

What is the differentiator?

The deluxe lifetime subscriber copies would have been lettered A-Z and would probably have been the 100 copy edition. I am unsure of how non-deluxe subscriber copies were differentiated.
EDIT: I sold my letter C a while back.

The image must be hosted by a server on the web. You can either link to a photo account like Photobucket or upload to the site server.

If the photo is hosted on the web then enter the URL in the box presented by the image icon.

If the photo is on your computer then click Gallery > click Upload Photos (top right) > click Browse > select the photo file on your computer and click Open > click Upload/Submit

After a few seconds you should be brought to your gallery. There should be a thumbnail of your photo with a larger rendering below. You can share the thumbnail, the medium pic below or click the medium pic for the largest pic and share that. (The last is recommended for most pics) Right click the pic you want to share and select Copy Image Location. Paste that URL into the box presented by the image icon.

You just shared a picture!

Woah! Really? What the heck do you think happened here then? I bought this on secondary market a while back.

Would PS have shipped out blank books in terms of numbers? I have a PC copy of another book and it's very clearly stamped as such.

Why would someone choose to write in their own '2'? Especially in such odd fashion? Theories on this?

We know it isn't a legitimate "2". We have pictures of both number twos, and this doesn't look anything like them.

It's remotely possible it's an "L". Perhaps for a subscriber. If anyone has L please post.

It's also possible that someone had an out of series book, without a number or PC mark, and wrote that themselves. As strange looking as the number/letter is, that might well be the case.

Pics of IT proof readily avail on request. Thanks!

I was hesitant in posting my question here until i realized 2 important things. One is that people here seem very helpful and nonjudgmental. The other is that everyone has different levels of "collecting". Would i love any/all of the things i see offered here? Of course! Would i be just as happy upgrading my copy of The Dark Half to better than the 4th edition i have? Of course!

My question is, is there someone here that has plain old vanilla firsts that they would part with? My finances are very limited. (hence my one and probably only venture into the world of Craigslist. 2 BCE and a roached out library copy were included in the "8 books for $15" post from a lady straight of of one of Sai King's novels. Super creepy and full time smoker. Obsessed with Chinese squishy...things. "This one rises the slooowwest!

I would just like to be able to occasionaly ask for a nice copy of something and know (as i already believe) that i could trust the person on the other end to provide a square deal.

The UK editions(1st/1st's) I am interested in are Firestarter, Different Seasons, Tommyknockers, Stand Complete and Uncut, Dolores Claiborne (bca), Just after Sunset, Liseys Story, Everythings Eventual, Needful Things, The Regulators, Wizard and Glass (bca), Wolves of the Calla, On Writing, Blaze, Mr Mercedes, Revival (all variants), and Finders Keepers (all variants). I realize this is a huge list and that most of these are not all too valuable. Im just trying to get them when I can (may take awhile haha) Ebay is just not very palatable to buying the UK editions. Thanks for all your help everyone. Just message me if anyone has a few of these they would be willing to part with. Thanks again and Long Days to everyone

Almost all of my items from my recent sale sold. However, I have a few left that did not. The listed prices are absolutely as low as I will go on these books, so if it fills a hole in your collection, this is your chance! First person to PM me a commitment to buy gets the book.

50/50 split on shipping in U.S. If you are not satisfied you can return the book(s) for a full refund of cost + initial shipping. Return shipping is on you.

All books kept in a smoke-free home.

'Salem's Lot S/L: Centipede slipcased edition signed in black ink by King and artist Jerry Uelsmann. #259 of 300. One corner of case bumped. One corner of book slightly bumped. $1,900 (Betts recently sold #79 for $2,200). Free shipping for this book (U.S. addresses).

The Secretary of Dreams Vol. 2 S/L: Cemetery Dance traycase edition. Signed by King and artist Glenn Chadbourne. Book, DJ, and traycase are all Fine. Appears New and unread. #739 of 750. $270

The Shining. Trade. First edition stated; R49 gutter code present. Book is VG, with some soiling and foxing of outer text block. Very slight lean. Internal text block tight with no writing, tears, loose pages, or marks of any kind, other than where the foxing shows on the very outer edge. Not ex-lib; no bookplate. I did see 3-4 pages with a slight corner crease. Book itself not remaindered (but see note regarding DJ, below). Nice lettering on spine with only very slight rubbing. Book corners sharp; some rubbing of boards and cloth from shelf wear, especially at base of spine.

I'd say the DJ is Near Fine. It's one of the nicer ones I've seen. No creases at all on flaps; DJ price of $8.95 clear and sharp. All parts of DJ (panels, flaps, spine) with only the barest hint of soiling. No tears or holes. Minor shelf wear at spine top/bottom and a slight crease at the spine fold. Small remnant of remainder spray on bottom of back internal flap. Protected in Brod-Art. $330.

Storm of the Century / Secret Windows: BOMC 1st eds. Both Fine/Fine. Sold together. $40

Stephen King Goes to the Movies: Fine as new. $25

Stephen King: The Art of Darkness: Douglas E. Winter. First Edition. Near Fine. $15

Misery / Eyes of the Dragon / It / Pet Semetery (first state) / The Talisman / Different Seasons / Green Mile 1-6 paperbacks (no slipcase): All are bona fide First Editions, but most I would consider in reading condition, not collectible condition. Misery is perhaps the best; looks almost new. Different Seasons and Pet Semetery are also pretty nice. These and the others have various soiling, creases, edge wear; It has an owner's name on the inner board. This is not an exhaustive list of defects; just things I happened to notice. Make offer for one or combo.

Creepshow and Midnight Graffiti ("Rainy Season"). Creepshow with stated First Printing and full number line. Condition is VG+. Creasing along spine and some edgewear. Both front and back panels have some creases (moreso on the back panel; the front panel presents very nicely). Interior pages seem tip-top. Midnight Graffiti is NF+. Sold together: $40

Cemetery Dance combo
A. The Stephen King Universe; A Guide to the Worlds of Stephen King: Fine book and DJ in Fine slipcase. Appears to be New and unread. Signed by authors Stanley Wiater, Christopher Golden, and Hank Wagner. #266 of 1,000.

B. Stephen King Uncollected, Unpublished: Fine book and DJ in Fine slipcase. Appears to be New and unread. Signed by authors Rocky Wood, David Rawsthorne, and Norma Blackburn. #1 of 2000. (Yes, that’s right--#1)

C. Stephen King; The Non-Fiction: Fine book and DJ in Fine slipcase. Appears to be New and unread. Signed by authors Rocky Wood and Justin Brooks. #827 of 2,000.

Sold as set only. $200

2012 Stephen King Library Desk Calendar; spiral-bound hardcover with holographic image: Contains various excerpts from books; quizzes, trivia, essays, etc. Pretty neat. $20

They All Float. Interesting art piece from Mark Englert with Pennywise and a “hidden” spider-thing from It. This is the “Glow in the Dark” variant. See http://www.tacobelvedere.com/2012/03/they-all-float-gid.html and http://www.tacobelvedere.com/2012/05/they-all-float-update_14.html Limited edition, signed and numbered. Comes rolled in a mailing tube. $130

He Is Legend proof - mint condition. $200. To clarify, mine is one of the 35 copies with the hole punch.

There were two states of the He Is Legend proof. The first does not have the hole punch. There were approximately 20 copies for Gauntlet's Club99 members, 10 total for the editor, King, Hill and Matheson and another 10 for sale and'/or give away. Approximately 35 copies with the hole punch and stamped "Not for Sale" were issued to reviewers. These numbers came from Barry Hoffman.

PM if interested.

Just a slight correction--there are actually three states of this proof, the two mentioned above and one for the Club 99 members, which is stamped "Club 99 Gauntlet Press".

See my post #62 for the first two and post #463 for the third.

This is a neat proof to have, no matter which one you get.

I am not looking for a profit on these. I just bought a couple of extra copies just in case someone here wanted one. They are in as new condition as they were just bought this morning.
They are £12.99 each with £12.95 shipping to the US (International Standard Airmail). Anybody interested just PM me.

Due to a financial emergency I am forced to sell my DT collection. I have already contacted a dealer for consignment and will probably be shipping the books to him on Monday.

I wanted to give members here a chance to acquire it (sort of keeping it in the family)

I have SL DT1-DTIIV, LSOE, WTTKH, Black House, Desperation, all same number, 186. I also have #186 LSOE gift edition with a rare Michael Whelan Doodle.

As I need the money fairly soon, I cannot accept monthly payment plan.

You can email me offers at papaseraphim@yahoo.com or if you want photos.

Never thought I would sell these books, but i have to.

Thanks,

ELIST SPECIAL:
SPRING / SUMMER CLEANING SALE

This is part two of our spring/summer cleaning sale. We still have a few copies of some of our offerings from our last newsletter. We’re not going to lower the price to keep it fair to those who already purchased a copy. We’ll list them one more time and then put them away for at least a year.

We also have a few items we didn’t list last week. First-ordered, first-served on all of them. You can order more than one book in a single order, since there will be several titles. This week…

We have one copy remaining of LEGACIES the Cemetery Dance signed numbered edition (yes, the book that was 12 years in the making). Two copies were sold when a customer offered a price we couldn’t say no to. We are selling this last copy for $400.
We have one copy of the Scribner signed limited of THE GIRL WHO LOVED TOM GORDON (only 125 copies were released). This is #69. We’re selling it for $800 (less than the cover price).
We have several copies of the lettered edition of Cemetery Dance’s SECRETARY OF DREAMS.(1) A LETTERED copy of volumes 1 and 2 (both are letter “TT”). Both are in their original box so each will be shipped separately. $2000 for both. If no one purchases the two-book set we will sell each separately. (2) Letter “QQ” of volume 1 (also in it’s original box). We’re selling this one for $1000. (3) a “PC” copy of volume 1 (this, too, in it’s original box). We selling this for $800.
We have two copies of the Cemetery Dance GIDEON’S SWORD (by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child) signed limited numbered edition. We’ll take $100 for each of the copies.
We have one copy of the Scribner limited edition of UNDER THE DOME. We selling this one for $300. (Since we had just one copy and it didn’t sell on this we can lower the price.)
We have one PC copy of the Lonely Roads numbered edition of RIDING THE BULLET. We’re selling these for $200 (less than the cover price)
We have one remaining PC copy of the Lonely Roads lettered edition of RIDING THE BULLET. We’re selling these for $750 (the book’s cover price)

Next newsletter we’ll auction off a copy of THE DANDELION WINE two-book set (this is the one signed by Bradbury and Stephen King). I had three copies which quickly sold, but found another in my office hidden by several years of my tax returns (yes, I have books EVERYWHERE). If you want to make a pre-emptive offer it will be considered. Contact us at info@gauntletpress.com and in the subject line mention “Dandelion Wine”

To order go to the Gauntlet Press website (http://cts.vresp.com/c/?GauntletPress/77ca896caa/fca751ca15/25a39cb904/ACTION=thispage&thispage=psdbi/BksNProds_Books.html&ORDER_ID=778445283) and order Jack Ketchum’s COVER (you won’t be charged for this book). In the Comment’s section mention the name(s) of the book(s) you want and the price (for instance: “Riding The Bullet Lettered/$750"). Ignore the notice automatically generated by our server (it will not contain the title of the book or price). Your official confirmation will be signed by publisher Barry Hoffman.

Sorry, no PayPal orders accepted for this special.

I will be posting a list this weekend as to what is left that will include prices. Again, I have every Limited #'d King S/L published so, if you want something prior to the weekend, let me know.

As for the "unique item" I referenced, intel to follow. I inked the deal yesterday…

Adding another item to the sale this weekend! S/L Stand. Box needs a little touch up on the bottom (Book and Glassine perfect) but, will be priced WELL (compared to current MV). Stay tuned and thanks to all for the interest in my S/Ls!

Actually, I believe that there are several stories about that rabbit.
From Justin's book : "This is a series of five short stories about “Mr. Rabbit Trick” that King wrote for his mother when he was six years old. [...]"

Hmm, what's one of the most expensive King books....I'm placing my bet on an asbestos Firestarter or since AKC mentions an EPIC revelation, a lettered set of DT books

No such thing as a lettered set of DT books.. only the Gunslinger... that cannot be it. BUT... it has to be huge.. and BIGGER than a Firestarter... I mean he has sold a TON of high end stuff... loving the guess work here though. lol

I'm thinking King was wrapping up a new novel in one of those Arkansas mountain cabins, left the cabin, had an accident, AKC kidnapped him, and is holding him hostage.

Wait????? Why does this sound familiar.

I'm guessing holographic manuscript but he probably got Michael Whelan to paint his family portrait.

I think first item will be that he bought the movie rights to the DT series. The second is a contract with Netflix to make them. The third will be a deal for the lead role.

Yes!!!! The one where there were like 4 made. I read an article online about it. The value is no less the $40,000 and upwards of $60,000. I'll look for the article.

Someone on here has 1 of 4?! Well, I would love to hear what they had to say. Like the article mentioned, someone did offer the one owner 40K for it and he turned them down.

There was more than 4... there was a whole run done if I am not mistaken. Apparently the majority went in the garbage.. so "they" say. There is probably more out there than that I bet... and yes at least ONE member here has it if not two...

Thanks for the input Webstar! So perhaps this infamous dust jacket is similar to the bootleg of Misery from Germany where a shipment was "confiscated" and MIA. I read that somewhere, but you can't believe everything you read.

At least three members here have one. Bob and Steve posted pics in their collection threads, the third one is mentioned in a few older posts but I don't think the owner ever confirmed it (but I'm pretty sure he owns it). If you search a bit, you can find everything there is to know about the first state DJ here on the forum.
