Shannon: I've got an offer for you.

I'll hang on to them for 17 years, and then when you want them back, their yours.... This will avoid 17 years of inflation for when you want to buy them all back ;-)

lol, well that doesn't get me any money now, does it?

For anyone interested, for $3,500, you can buy them all.

It's not about money in your pocket pal, it's about removing the desire to continue to spend money in the future lol!

Shannon, If i had to guess, the average age of everyone on this site is 50. You will be getting some great deals in 17 years, you will be the only king collector remaining!

In 17 years I will be almost 80 years old. I predict I will still be looking for an oblong Carrie proof, a copy of "People, Places and Things" and "The Star Invaders." And those Maine Summer Campus newspapers with "Slade" serialized. I suspect Shannon will still have me to deal with. Probably just us two, though.

Hahaha. Maybe three of us.
it's already been over 20 for me - what's another 17

I've decided that collecting King-Signed Limited editions just isn't a good idea for the next 17 years or so, lol. Once Rose is out of the house, then I'll resume collecting the expensive stuff, lol. So, without further ado, things for sale:

Christine #608/1,000: Very minor stain on last page of text and first white page in rear. Slipcase has minor rubbing on bottom. Minor edge and cornerwear on dustacket, emphasized slightly on the spine.

Danse Macabre #117/250: Small pencil writing on first white page, missing glassine wrapper.

Dark Dreamers #152/350: Near perfect.

Insomnia #981/1,250: Near perfect. Printing error on two pages front and back. Looks like a very minor paper jam. Not noticeable from the outside.

Quietly Now #155/500: Near perfect.

Skeleton Crew #49/1,000: Includes a three-page press release from Jeff Connor. Small ding/scratch on slipcase. Top of dustjacket on spine has very minor bunches.

The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger audio tapes #640/800: Minor edge and corner wear.

The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower #1,496/1,500: Corner crease on limitation page.

The Ideal, Genuine Man #294/500: Near perfect.

The Very Best Of Best New Horror #161/200: Near perfect. Extra error dustjacket included.

Under The Dome #Unnumbered as issued/1,500: Near perfect, cards still new in shrinkwrap.

Please PM me for pictures and offers. Offers should be reasonable; think Bett's.

Ha! I got one!

I'm succumbing to the thought of buying the Shining later today.

To do so I would need to sell something, so my Wind Through The Keyhole (UK) is up for grabs - no 158 of 200. It has only been opened to look at the number and at the art once.

I'd like $450, and would cover half the shipping to the US (I'm UK), and free in the UK. Paypal Gift for this please.

I buy mainly, but have provided a couple of books to guys on here, without incident. I like to receive decent packages, so would deliver the same.

pm me if interested

Cheers, Dave

Added ......

insomnia gift edition (us) $60 & Dark Tower Artist Edition $60 PayPal gift - full shipping applies for these. D.

Bill is actually right on -- The case is $125 plus shipping. Of course, if you add more or less 'bells & whistles' the price changes. If we wanted to engrave very much more of the books spine design, we'd probably have to get CD's permission but it would certainly be do-able. I've also started using some other materials for liners (velvet, 'pleather', etc.). Feel free to email or PM me if I can answer any questions..........

Appreciate the generous offer! I'll stick with $650.00 and I'm being overly cautious with the rating! No visible flaws...mainly just that the paper adhered to the slipcase has minor, minor edgewear.....

$650.00 is a great price in my opinion!

I'd agree entirely! My "offer" was meant to be a silly sarcastic response to Jimmy's query regarding a less than fine copy. I actually never offer prices, but I am certain a $650 is a sweet deal. If I wasn't more than 650 short I'd jump on it.

Ok, friends! I have thought long and hard on this and my financial situation is bad enough I may need to sell some books. I've never sold a book before. So basically if there's something you know I have make an offer. I'm not so good at prices and don't keep records so I don't REALLY know values, but if there's something in my collection you're interested in let me know and we'll talk about it. A few things are not for sale such as my author's copy of Christine, My Whelan drawing that came with my Knowing Darkness s/l (though I'd consider an offer on the book itself), Boneland S/l, the Roger Dean picture, and probably not the promo stuff (though you could try on some of that if you're really interested. I'd listen/read the offer, but am more inclined to say no. ) I'm not sure how long this will last. I mean I'm not looking to stop collecting or anything. I just need some dollars. I also have an album collection and numerous boxes of new to read once hardcovers and arcs plus quite a few non-king s/l's. I'll try to make a list, but I'm not sure how soon I could make a comprehensive list.

2 notes payment would have to be by paypal gift and shipping would be actual shipping.

Something for the SK "IT" completest or a just a SK completest in general. "The Seventh World Fantasy Convention" Sold
This is a little different, sort of cool, on page 79 is a short story "The Bird and the Album", an excerpt from chapter 13 of a work in progress.
Work in progress being a new book named "IT" Also has an advertisement in the back promoting "Cujo"
This has a limitation page in the back on the last page, this one is a complementary penned with #0 (zero) or O (letter) I can't distinguish between the two.
This is signed by one of the contributors; Elizabeth A. Lynn, she was the first author to win the world fantasy award for both novel & short fiction in the same year.
& Jeff Frane (just Jeff to Andrianne) He is one of the co-editors
Book is in solid condition, Jacket has some fading to the DJ spine (lettering & artwork still completely visible) Part of the proceeds will also go to the Haven Fund, $35 Sold
Thanks

You should have let me know and it would be remarqued by now!!! I paid $75 for a copy and Mr. Maitz was only too kind to remarque it for the HF. I can make that happen again if you wish, I think. You could probably call the pic!!!

Sorry, I do not mean to be "snarky" or anything. I hope you understand my point!!!

Thanks Bill,
I'm not at all offended, that would be wonderful if you can offer that for the potential buyer.
I'm just sort of doing my own thing here, I'm trying to raise some cash for an SK upgrade & the HF.
You do seem to be a little upset with me, have I offended you?

Not at all, my friend, just trying to point out "what could have been". What you are doing is very worthwhile things. Sorry if I came across as "judging" !!!!! Not the case at all!!! My bad!!!

Thought I'd post these here before I take them to ebay.

If anyone is into the Ian Fleming James Bond books, I've got 8 book club edition hardcovers that look like they're from the late '60s or '70s.
These are definitely all in "reading copy," not collector condition. All have different colored "edge stains" on the top of the pages, which looks kind of cool together.

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/500/Bont_top.jpg

$2 each or make an offer for the lot.

Cover art group 1:
Casino Royale
Moonraker
Thunderball
The Man With the Golden Gun
Goldfinger
The Spy Who Loved Me

Cover art group 2:
The Man With the Golden Gun
You only Live Twice

I also have a few small press books taking up space on my shelves that I'm looking to sell. All are unread.

Yellow Men Sleep - Jeremy Lane (Grant Books) $10

Until She Sleeps - Tim Lebbon (Cemetery Dance Signed Edition of 1,000) $15.00

Hello everyone -

Since my recent purchase of the shining s/l and gift edition I have decided i need to make room on my bookshelf

I am selling my S/L (referred to as that by CD) of Riding the bullet - Limited to 500 this copy is 487. In F/F condition - but of course pictures are available due to some issues we've had in the past. I am asking 200 + shipping - i know this isnt a huge want on most collectors lists but hey throw me an offer.

I am also deciding to pass on my s/l rock bottom remainders litho - s/l number 112 in F/F condition. it has been framed and kept out of the light. I am asking 200 as well obo - once again pics are available just let me know. Shipping might be a little tough on this one but we can work something out.

my Wind Through The Keyhole (UK) is up for grabs - no 158 of 200.

All these still available to buy. Pm me if interested. I am UK based hence the half price on the postage for the WTTK.

Cheers Dave.

Our lovely USPS damaged a mint condition Gunslinger DJ. Buyer has been sent a replacement.
Here is the lightly bumped DJ. It is still in VG+, if not NF condition; and is likely better than 95% of the DJ's out there. The pics are high resolution-more than the eye normally sees, particularly once wrapped around your book.
First person to PM they want it, AND will PP as a gift $80 (once confirmed as the "winner") to me, wins.

Generally what the number is means nothing unless there is some reason for that number to be desirable such as a #19 DT set or 217 or 237 Shining might be to some. Some people do prefer a low number, but then it's all just personal preference and pretty much impossible to gauge.

Agreed....your litho# had noting to do with it.

I seriously believe the one with the woman did better because of the woman...sex sells....not a new concept.

That....and the few extras she had with her auction.

Not to mention your lack of reputation on ebay...and frankly....your less than stellar reputation here.

He had a few issues in the past under another name. I think he's (sincerely) trying to get past them, fwiw. Rehashing will just make that unnecessarily harder I feel. If someone specifically asked privately I'd tell them, but I think people should be able to redeem themselves.

I think a big factor of why one item and another similar item in like condition sells is just luck of the draw/whim of the buyer.

All I can say is good luck and keep trying. I'm not the least bit interested in litho prints; if I was, your asking price seems fair I guess (I don't know the market at all). FWIW, count me as another person who cares fuck-all about what number a particular item is.

Hello everyone!

I am taking offers for this damaged S/L TWTTKH. The slipcase has damage to one corner as shown in the pictures below. Also, the signature/limitation page was removed and sent back to DMG Publishing so I could receive my replacement copy. Finally, the boards have some minor damage where the endpapers stuck to them.

I will take PM offers until Wednesday, 27 February 2013. Highest offer takes it and I will have it in the mail to you by Friday, 1 March 2013. If you make me an offer and want to receive updates as to where you stand, let me know in your initial PM.

Thanks!

Actually, I can kinda see that. It is inappropriate for children and a "dark" time in American History. Kids grow up way too soon these days, right?

lol as soon as I heard they were banned from stores, I thought to myself, BUY THEM! BUY THEM NOW! So slow, lost my chance at becoming a millionaire.

Not sure if this will interest anyone here. I am looking to sell off some of my Miracleman (Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman) items:

Complete run of miracleman 1-24 + apocrypha (1-3) and Kimota companion book for $350. All in very nice condition (issue #24 has a crease on cover - this was a printing issue and many have this problem, #15 is very nice condition)

Complete run of Warrior magazine (early Alan Moore work) - 1-26; $250 - includes moore's work on marvelman/miracleman and V for Vendetta - these are magazines - all in nice condition.

Please feel free to ask any questions or for pics. The warrior run is a pain to get altogether - since this was from early 80s

Or both for $550

I have the trades as well (2 sets) - but wasn't ready to sell those unless someone is really interested.

Yes I am lucky enough to own 4 of them. Thanks to sgc1999 I finally own Georgie's Boat to sort of fill out an artistic story line. The boat, Pennywise drain (Signature page for the Lettered) , and IT Appears as Georgie. Then the last is the refrigerator.

Thank You!!! When sgc1999 said he had three original Erin Wells pieces I knew of two, and when he said he owned "Georgie's Boat" I almost passed out. I will admit I wondered how he became the owner since I knew you once owned it which I will talk about in a minute. I tried to keep my cool/joy/elation from sgc1999 , but deep inside I was praying I would not lose this art for a second time since others on the forum asked what the third work of art was. The first time I lost it was the eBay auction I am guessing you won, and I know I lost. After losing the auction it was why I began to lurk on here (After doing a Google search.) for the first time seeing if anyone from this forum won it, and sure enough you posted it on your "Book Collection: Shannon". Once I read how much you loved the detail I figured I would never see this art again. Since the first time I looked at your pictures of "Georgie's Boat" I probably viewed that page (Page 5 #122) over a thousand times. Then when I purchased the original art for the signed Lettered page it made me want "Georgie's Boat" even more. Then I recently acquired "IT Appears as Georgie", and I was trying to gain the courage to message you to see if there was a slight chance you might be willing to sell "Georgie's Boat". I was shocked as I stated that sgc1999 was the new owner, and I had the opportunity to finally own it.

I have a chance to acquire some insomnia signed prints by stephen king (see posted below) - I ran into a guy at the recent horrorhound convention who was a close friend of stephen kings and runs a small publishing house in new england called Chimera Publishing (his name is Norm). He also knew the head guy at glimmer graphics which is where he acquired the signed prints from Insomnia

http://imageshack.us/a/img822/8687/img0123ig.jpg

the numbers were whited out by the guy at Glimmer graphics. The prints are also signed by Phil Hale.

PM ME IMMEDIATELY IF INTERESTED AS HE ONLY HAS ONE LEFT! Price is what the prints cost plus actual shipping due to size constraints (100 plus ship) I have seen all of the prints and they are all in great shape and backed by stiff boards to keep them straight. The damage to mine is the cardboard

03-25-2013, 01:15 PM
The value of the Ketchum book came down significantly a few years ago after the trade-paperback was released. Camelot has a copy of the numbered HC for $275, but I think they're still living in the past regarding that one. Fair market value for that one would probably be about 50% of that, if not less, or $125; signed limiteds are not typically not bringing what they used to, and this title is no exception. Last one I saw on eBay a while back went for, I believe, less than $100. The lettered would run, I would guess, less than twice the $125 numbered...I'd peg it around $200. It wouldn't surprise me if it still sat around for a while at that price, so I suppose it all depends on how quickly you want it to sell.

'Course, this is all guesswork.

I have a couple books signed by Rick Hautala that I'm planning on putting up on eBay next week. I'm going to donate all of the money from the sales of those books directly to Rick's wife via her Paypal link. I wanted to mention them here first in case anyone was interested.

First is a lettered copy ("O") of fearful symmetries by Thomas monteleone (Rick wrote the intro). Small bump to corner (front, top, left) of tray case - otherwise, new unread condition. I was hoping to raise between $150-250 for that one.

If interested please PM soon - otherwise it'll go up on eBay (and i will let you all know that too). I'll cover US shipping and split any overseas costs.

DID YOU JUST WIN A (KING-RELATED) JOSEPH PAYNE BRENNAN AUCTION?

I don't suppose anyone here was the lucky winner of this auction, were they...?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Joseph-Payne-Brennan-Webs-of-Time-INSCRIBED-to-Stephen-King-1979-/370759132765?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=lGafqOP37z4ZR4ShVQhGqDeRUIM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

As a huge Brennan fan -- and the King intro for his pb collection being what led me to his work some thirty years ago or so -- I'm still kicking myself for losing out on this one. If the lucky winner would like to make an immediate 50% gain on his win, let me know.

I probably posted this before, but is anyone interested in photocopies (A4 size) of the full set of Castle Rock Newsletters? I bought them from Betts for $25 a couple of years ago so anyone who is interested can have them for $25 plus shipping.
