Meh. It didn't do all that much for me. I give it a 2.

I voted Haven't Read. It's sitting on my dining room table right now, in my pile of "Read This in the Next Lil Bit". I remember recording the mini-series on a *gasp* VCR, but I never watched it.

Just average for me.
never read... http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bear_sad.gif
Haven't read it either, although I do have the hardcover edition. Not a big fan of the screenplay format. In his introduction, King wrote that if the series wouldn't have gone on, he'd rewrite the teleplay into a novel. I wish he'd done that.
3. It was just an average story. I'm not a huge fan of reading screenplays anyway.

I agree it would have been better if it were not a screenplay, but one night I actually read along while the filmed played...yeah I know....

I had to vote "haven't read".

I don't think it's word-for-word with the miniseries, right?

I gave it a 4. Good stuff, but there were parts in it I didn't like to much, mostly the characters, thats why it didn't get a 5.

Protect yours first, and protect other's children if you can as well.

Have it but have never read it. Watched the movie, though. Since the book is just the screenplay, I've often thought about following along while watching the DVD.

Does having seen the movie count as having read it?

I haven't read it either (I didn't even know that it was in written form) but I did enjoy the mini-series. I suppose, since the screenplay content is by it's very nature in the film, then I could still vote on whether I liked it, but since the poll seems to be concerned with the screenplay, and reading and watching is a different experience, I thought it best to choose the 'haven't read' option.
Like I said before, although I'm not sure, but I think the book may differ in some places from the filmed version. I haven't read this one myself, so those that have please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's generally what happens all the time during filming.

King says in the intro that the screen-play is darker than the actual mini-series, because they (the TV company) censored some of the content. SO in that sense, they are different from each other.
I give it a 3.

Ah, in that case, I vote that I never read it.

I'm actually about 1/2 way through reading this, and have watched the mini-series recently. There are only a very few places that are different, and some details which are lost in the viewing. Here's for anyone who's watched but not read, if they're interested:
For example, the mini-series doesn't really show that the people of Little Tall keep using CB channel 19, but I doubt SK picked that one accidentally.
As far as differences, the only ones I have noticed are that Linoge goes fangs out much earlier in the screenplay (in his opening scene, actually), and that he is said to be lying on his bed in the cell when he makes Cat kill Billy.
I like the story, so 4

I really want to vote on this one because I love the miniseries, however I have yet to read the screenplay. I might try to head over to the bookstore to give it a read before the voting is over.
