just curious... who is in charge/regulates the arcade section?
i was wondering about the possibility of the existing chess program being replaced with more difficult version?

i love chess... and i have played several games aginst the computer version here now... and won about ten games... tied two and lost none... the last game i won in 12 moves. seems there would be a more challanging version out there.????

I am the one that handles it mostly and I would be happy to find a harder chess game for the site.

I think I choose that one because it was 3-D or something. I'll see what else they have.

Oh, and I am going to move this to the Arcade forum :D

There is a new one in there now, lets you choose "deep" difficulty to play against the computer.

Hopefully that fits the bill.

This popped up on me while playing the under the sea slots:

http://www.greatdaygames.com/games/pool.aspx

Is it possible to maybe get that on here without breaking the bank?

That game does not look downloadable Spencer--sorry it took so long to answer, I didn't see the thread had been bumped.

it took me three times to beat the "deep" chess thing...which doesnt say much for my talent

Likewise.

Fortunately, most of the time I'm playing on a computer anonymously, or playing one of my family members, most of whom don't even know what "castling" entails. I tried to teach my niece how to play over Christmas, but it was kind of hard with all of the super-dysfunctional family drama taking place-as it usually does-so I only got through two-thirds of an instructional game before my baby niece knocked the entire chessboard over.

The chess game in the arcade was mad easy though. I agree with that.

how come theres no high scores on the chess one though?

Probably because there is no high score, just mate.

In a regular tournament you'd be facing other (human) opponents, and the points you'd accumulate would be based upon how many of them you had defeated. Here your only opponent is the computer.

Any chance of getting some fresh games in the arcade?
