Has anyone read this series? It is by W. Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neal Gear and is kind of a scientific/fictional look at prehistoric Indian history up through the 18's here in North America.

Great stuff.

People of the Sea is the best one I have read.

yes... I have read a few... but years ago and I can't recall them except that I remembered enjoying them.

I actually picked up my first one on some book rack overseas (Army) thought it was really good.

They are kind of hit and miss though. Separately, the couple has written some books and they are pretty good too.
