Welcome. I've got a fairly diverse collection. A lot of King as well as a few other authors I enjoy.

I've been collecting for about 3 or 4 years now. It's turned from a hobby into a passion. :)

Enjoy.

Other authors that I look for.

I'm a huge Richard Laymon fan. Having discovered him after his death pretty much sucks. But, I enjoy his work and love how collectible he is.

US and UK hardcover first editions. A few have been inscribed or signed:

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/books039.jpg

US Limited Editions and Tread Softly (published under the psuedonym Richard Kelly):

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/books041.jpg

A few collectable paperbacks, including The Lawmen (written under a psuedonym) and a few "fastbacks."

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/books044.jpg

I purchased Tread Softly from Ann Laymon, who appears to be selling extra copies from his library. Whether it's on the up-and-up, I don't know, but I got the book way under fair market value.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/TS.jpg

I went through Army basic training with Michael Arnzen. A college professor and writer of novels, short stories, and horror poetry:

Nice stuff Bill!

I have that paperback edition of Rage. I didn't realize it was hard to find.

If it says "Printed in the U.S.A" and has a number line 1 thru 9, it's fairly rare and worth well over $100, depending on the condition. Quite nice for a paperback.

And, thanks, funky! :)

Thanks, Patrick. She and I are in this together, so it's fun to get some signed to both of us. I anticipate that we'll have many more. Jeanne's got a pretty snazzy collection too. Lots of signed 1st editions from various authors; Kingsolver, Auel, Ethan Hawke, Chabon, Atwood, Maud Hart Lovelace, etc...

Also. Jeanne and I won a message board contest by a local band. We were invited to join them (and some band family and friends) in the studio for an evening. We actually provided backup vocals, clapping, etc. on a few tracks. At the CD Release show, Bart signed our CD as well as a harmonica (used at the show!). I put them all in a display case.

A printing of the e-mail saying that we won:

No you don't!!! ;)

I think the album's available on ebay or Amazon, etc.... All in all, I think we played a small part in about 6 songs. Salvation Road, We Were The Ones, Hangin' On and a few others. I can't remember off the top of my head. :)

Bart's got some ties to the Bay Area--he fronted a band called The Strangers for several years there.

Have a good weekend. We're off to the coast! :D

That's nice NK! I really like the sketchy drawing/design on the cover.

I was immediately drawn to the sketch too! I had to actually look at the hardcover and see that it's there on the cover and the title page. Somehow, on this stark white cover, it has a whole different look.

How much did that set you back?

$80 here on a dtBay auction. :)

Got this today. Graven Image by Ray Garton. It's the promotional First Edition, limited to those who bought the Cemetery Dance coupon book.

I love the end page effects! It's a small book (less than 80 pages) but is the high standard CD quality.

I just finished The Last Motel by Brett McBean. He's a long-time Stephen King/Richard Laymon fan and I think his first effort was brilliant!

The book was issued with a limited post-card, signed by Brett, Brian Keene and the illustrator Keith Minnion. I managed to get Brett to also personalize it (all the way from Australia) to Jeanne and I. :)

Christmas has come. :)

Imagination Fully Dilated II. This is a collection of short stories. Artist Alan Clark sent each author a picture and they wrote a short story. Sort of the opposite of an artist illustrating a story. Cool idea.

Here's the book and the signature pages:

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Chr045.jpg

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Chr046.jpg

I love this book because it is signed by the late Richard Laymon AND from my old Army buddy Mike Arnzen.

Here's a remarque that Alan did for my copy.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Chr044.jpg

I also got my ARC of 20 Century Ghosts

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Chr047.jpg

And I got the hardcover Gunslinger Born. I was VERY impressed with the hardcover binding. For some reason I didn't know this had a dustjacket--I thought it was just an illustrated hardcover. Love it!!!

Gunslinger Born. A few promo things and just the basic editions--no second printings, no Variants. Yet!!!

The Long Road Home. A couple of promo things, the Previews Magazine (thanks to a WONDERFUL member here), the 1st and 2nd issue, plus the Batman 400, with an intro by King. Thanks to Patrick for the heads up on this one!

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Comics010.jpg

My Joe Hill collection. 1st and 2nd issues of Locke and Key. A ComicShop News tabloid with an article about Hill. Speed Racer #1 had a 4 page preview of L & K. Spiderman Unlimited #8.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/Comics007.jpg

And, after reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, I had to get some of the comics that were inspired by the novel. Fun stuff!!!!

I recently bought one too after reading the suggestion. It is not the most visually appealing aspect of my collection but it is very handy.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna "jazz" mine up a bit with some stickers. "Mejas", "New York", "Gilead", etc.

I finally got my Bookcases assembled and most pieces of my King collection in place. I've still got some tinkering to do. I've got a few other King-related pieces with my Joe Hill and Jack Ketchum Collections. I'll get those pics up soon.

Mostly King. The top left shelves contain various Lettered and Limited Editions by other authors.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/1_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/1_1.jpg.html)

My few S/L include IT and Under the Dome. Others are gift editions. Lisey's Story was signed on his tour and Cujo is inscribed to moi. I have a "poor man's" Dark Tower series - First and Artist Editions. :)

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/2_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/2_1.jpg.html)

The start of my Trade Editions. Carrie, Salem's Lot, and Shining are all later printings (non-BCE). Night Shift and beyond are all First/First.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/3_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/3_1.jpg.html)

Other trade and UK editions. Plus, my Bev Vincent Collection. Love his stuff!!!

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/4_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/4_1.jpg.html)

I have a limited number of Arcs

My Bachman Books - 3 are US First Editions. Roadwork is UK First

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/7_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/7_1.jpg.html)

F&SF with Gunslinger Stories. Almost complete. Almost!

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/bookking/dt_com/8_1.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/bookking/media/dt_com/8_1.jpg.html)

Bookseller here in Portland that was set up at World Horror 2014. I felt guilty, but not for long. I bought the other two from the same guy. Many years ago, I picked up a lesser quality First of Rage from a bookstore for $4.
