So, it’s my turn.

Where to begin….

I was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts. Spent the first 22 years of my life there. It was a nice place to live when I was little, not so much anymore.

I am the youngest of four kids, got the crap kicked out of me by my oldest sister who is now one of my best friends in the world!

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in 1989 and had a SLEW of problems with his father. Needless to say, things didn’t work out and I ended up giving him up for adoption. Miss him every day and I hope and pray for the day that he comes to find me.

Met my first husband through my now ex-best friend and spent 16 years with him!!!! Sometimes I really do wonder why! But I did get two beautiful (if yet handfuls) out of the relationships, so I got the better end of the deal.

A year after we got married, we moved to Exeter, NH. I fell in love and don't ever want to leave.

So, separated from asshat on Oct. 31, 2004 and spent almost the next two years waiting for him to change, and he didn't. So I told him it was over, over and called my friend Bill up to see what he was up to....the rest is history. I am now married to the love of my life. My high school crush. My once “friends with benefits”. We have one beautiful son, Josiah, and a beautiful daughter who we lost in February and shhhhhh, another bean on the way due in April, 2009. :D

For those who don’t know, I work for Donald M Grant Publisher, Inc. And it’s almost the best job in the world. I think the best for me, right now, would to be Joe’s “Marsha”. I already put my request in for the job! let’s see if I ever get it.

So, that’s me in a nut shell, ask away. I think I might be ready.

Hello Karen.

I hope you accept questions from Jets' fans :P

Firstly, congratulations on the pregnancy! :)

Here are some music questions...

Do you play any instruments?

If so, which one(s) and for how long?

If not, which one would you most like to learn to play?

If you could see any band/artist (past or present) live in concert, who would it be?

Do you have a favorite band/artist?

Do you have a favorite song?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to share a little bit of yourself with us. It's cool getting to know more about the staff through these Q&A threads.

Huggles to you girl. :huglove: Huggles right back!!! :huglove:

(1) Where did you work before you came to Grant? Lots and Lots of places, but right before I was working at the service desk at Home Depot

(2) You've met a lot of DT-related or King people....Joe Hill, Phil Hale etc. Who has impressed you the most and why? I would have to say Joe. He's so down to Earth. So humble and real. Know what I mean. I wouldn't expect it from the son of such a famous man. Sai King raised them right!

(3) How have your oldest two rascals adjusted to your new relationship and the new baby Josiah? For the most part, pretty well. There are still the "you are not my daddy" issues. Hasn't been said, but implied. But their step-father is a better father, 10 times over, than their real one will ever be.

(4) What's the "naughtiest" thing you've ever done. you know....

(5) What names are in the running for the new babe? Cecelia Louise for a girl and something Leander for a boy, we were thinking Duncan, but I can't get past the Duncan Doughnuts reference...LOL

(6) Am I your favorite Collector? LOL HELL YEAH!!!!

Thanks for being so coolio! Bye.:P No problem, it's easy.

Well, Welcome back!!! Hope you are feeling betterer!!

Let's see, my biggest achievement would have to be trying my best to raise my kids.
Biggest regret, giving up my first born for adoption

Change one thing...I don't know. I wouldn't want to mess with the past. But if I could choose anything, I would make it so my daughter, Rosemary, was healthy and with us today.

MMM Drawing the line is easy, I know what I am allowed to say and what I am not. And that's that. LOL They only get so much without me getting into trouble.

I don't like peas. I only like corn and broccoli (with lots of butter).

I have built a snowman. Living in a place where it snows every other day in the winter (most times) you kinda don't have a choice.

What makes a good parent? Limitless Patience (which I don't have), sense of humor and lot of love...two out of three ain't bad! LOL

My first kiss was with Stephen Staples and it was wet and messy!

The last time I saw a rainbow was outside of Friendlies Rest. (ice cream place) and it was in May and a double rainbow (at least that is what Hubby says, I don't remember)

I don't use nail polish cause I hate the smell. My nails grow fast and I should paint them, but when I do, they always break right afterwards!

The nicest thing every said To me was when my husband told me he loved me, the nicest thing ever said about me was that I have beautiful children!

There is no one favorite day. I would say, the days my children were born, the first time hubby told me he loved me, the day we got married....you get the picture

I don't usually remember my dreams, so I can't tell you that.

Fantasy vaca? Australia!

I would want to take a photography course. I always wanted to be a photographer. Who could teach it??? IDK? Someone interesting, but not TOO interesting that I wouldn't be able to concentrate on what I was supposed to be doing! LOL

I went to a local college that offered the course, they wanted $35,000!!! For a certificate! Not even a degree!! It did include the camera equipment and dark room time, but still!! OUCH!!! Guess that dream will never happen. Even with financial aid, I would still owe $15,000!!!!

Thank you for your answers. If you wish to remember your dreams
I have found that intention, and a dream journal work well.
I believe that my spirit self is more important than my physical self
on many levels. One more question then on the subject of perception;
Do you believe yourself to be made of energy, and anticipating your reply
to be affirmative, do you then acknowledge that energy can be easily controlled
and manipulated to attain your goals? Or more simply stated that all things are possible?

Nerak
09-30-2008, 08:22 AM
Um, what?

You did not read that wrong. It's not a class, but a bunch, I believe spread out over two years and you earn a certificate, but not a degree.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. Can I suggest Samuel as a name if it's a boy?

You've already mentioned sex in a cemetary (too weird:wtf:) so, where's the next oddest place you ever engaged in a sex act?

Um, can't, have a nephew named Samuel already (my grandfather's name)

The next oddest place...in the back of a car parked in the driveway to a junkyard.

What is the cruelest thing you've ever done?
What is the kindest thing you've ever done?
What is the cruelest thing ever done to you?
What is the kindest thing ever done for you?

Cruelest thing I have ever done.....locked my daughter in her room for an hour for time out, with her screaming and hollering the entire time and me ignoring it!
Kindest thing...I gave my first son to someone else to love.
Cruelest thing done to me....being called Blubber in 7th grade. Mean kids suck!
Kindest thing done to me...my husband and kids loving me.

What's one way you indulge and pamper yourself?
Earliest memory?
Can you remember your very first dream? How old were you?
Favorite dish at a holiday meal?
Favorite smiley?
Are any of these repeats?

Ideas for new baby names?
Do you know any other languages?
How is your hair styled?

Baby names: Cecelia Louise for a girl (no other options)
Gideon Leander for a boy (hubby is thinking on this one, but I love it)

I can tell you to shut your mouth or call you a little pig in French and ask how you are.
I can count to ten in Spanish, French and German

My hair is parted on the right side, at an angle to the back and almost all one length.
