I searched this forum for "Sims" and didn't see a thread, so I thought I'd get one started. Anyone else here love the Sims?

I had a Sims game for my gameboy a few years back. I think it was called The Urbz or something like that. :orely: The fact that I was addicted to a GAME where I had to take care of real life things like paying bills, watering plants, sleeping, using the bathroom, etc became ridiculous and I got rid of it. I'm too obsessive of a person to handle this sort of game.

I had the Urbz for the PS2. I began to get a little addicted, but then it got boring and I quit playing. I had played it way too much.

The funny thing is, in the beginning, it's cool. You're thinking: "Oh I get to create this character, dress it, get a house,..all this shit."
Then later, after the addiction has set in, I'm looking around at my house that needs to be cleaned,.... while I'm rearranging furniture in my Sims world!!
I realized how totally f'd my priorities had become.

I have played many a Sims game... Sims 2 is quite fun and I have Sims 2 Open for Business where your Sims can go to work and run their own shops!
Very fun!

I love playing it, but what ends up happening is after about an hour i just use the cheat for unlimited cash and just start building ridiculous mansions

Ditto that.

I used to be addicted in high school, but I finally took it off my computer last year for college... That was probably one of the best decisions I made last school year as far as time-consuming activities were concerned...

And then I found this place.

I love just building different houses...

with the Business one it gets even crazier... I make a whole town center with multiple stores, restaurants, a spa, bars... I CAN'T STOP!

I freaking love the Sims! But I too, mainly just love building big elaborate houses and having my Sims to fun stuff. Like get into cat fights.

Odetta...I MUST get this Sim's business expansion you're talking about. It sounds awesome.

Oh, it is!
Personally, I don't enjoy building houses that much. In fact, there's times where I create families and dread having to build their home.

Free Time is great too. It's just that those constant phone calls are annoying.

I kind of don't like how the hobbies have constant notifications.

Ack, I don't have Free Time and already get too many phone calls as it is!

Of the ones I have, I'd say Open for Business is the best - I think the only other one I have is Pets. Pets isn't all that great, except for one thing: Werewolves!
