I like what the Wall Street Journal says...

"Scribner and Mr. King are betting that a digital adaptation designed for those with short attention spans will be more productive. :)

do you mean that the book/DVD edition will be limited, or that there will be a limited edition of the book/DVD edition?

on the official website, we can read that:

Yes. Stephen King and Marvel will be releasing a comic book miniseries based on “N.” in early 2009.

It's unclear if the edition of the book in this bundle will be any different from the regular trade edition at this point.

Also, this was in the FAQ:

Will “N.” ever be released as a comic book?

Yes. Stephen King and Marvel will be releasing a comic book miniseries based on “N.” in early 2009.

The first episode was short but had just enough of a story line to make me want to see more. I look forward to the book. Bought a copy with the DVD from Amazon yesterday.

I watched the first episode this morning. I liked it, but it was way too short. 2 minute video, but 30 seconds are the opening and closing credits. Only 90 seconds of story.

Someone wise once said, "A taste of honey is worse than none at all." Yep.

I wonder if all the episodes are going to be this short. It was enough to make me want more but I hope that some of them are longer.

I too ordered the book with DVD from Amazon for 34% off the list price!

NEW YORK – Stephen King is a video star.

The animated video adaptation of the horror master's short story "N." has been viewed more than a 1 million times on the Internet and on mobile phones since its release in July, according to publisher Simon & Schuster. King has well demonstrated his digital appeal before; his e-novella "Riding the Bullet" was a sensation in the early years of the Internet.

"Stephen King has once again lured his readers to try a new way to enjoy a story," Susan Moldow, executive vice president and publisher of Scribner, a division of Simon & Schuster, said Thursday in a statement.

The print version of King's short story, in which a psychiatrist fatally absorbs the madness of one of his patients, is included in the collection "Just After Sunset," released this week.

An adaptation of the King short story N has Gaumont backing it and 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff and Will Rowbotham producing an hourlong series that has a pilot script from Ant-Man And The Wasp scribe team Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari, with Annabelle: Creation’s David F. Sandberg aboard to direct. The tale involves a letter that gets passed around, one that makes those who read it go insane. It will be shopped early fall.
