Got a 1st/1st of Blockbuster Billy today, flatsigned, from a trusted seller  This is the Scribner hardcover with Morality included, not the Cemetery Dance edition, but the S/L version of Blockade Billy is quite pricey! I'd forgotton how small in dimensions this book is!

Not Stephen King, but I wanted to post pics of a great deal I received! A lettered (GG) copy of Hunger and Thirst by Matheson for $125. Beautiful workmanship! Hard to believe, but this is the first Matheson I own (and haven't read anything of his yet!), and my first lettered anything!

Totally not SK, but horror and a new P&J none the less. I collect movie posters as well; this is a linen-mounted 1970 Italian release called "The Mask of Frankenstein" which was actually the 1957 movie "The Curse of Frankenstein" starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Going to look great framed and hanging in the man-cave 13 years or so from now when the kids are out and I can have a man-cave!

Inscribed 1st/1st of The Talisman (dated on my birthday, give or take a couple years) and a 1st/1st Lisey's Story inscribed "To Jimmy" (close enough to my own name!), a Turtleback Joyland, and finally, my true pride and joy: I finally got a copy of "Rage". Yeah, it's high on my list too as like Dolan's it's a book that I don't have in any other stand alone form. But I find it hard to pay that much for a paperback, especially when there are other signed limited books like Firestarter and Christine that are far more desirable and less money!

Not that I can afford those either.... :(

@Theli. Go to your emails. IF you have an email from a seller, look at bottom of the email and there should be a green "check mark" for rate seller. Does that help? And nice buy.

My most recent SK acquisition is the Cemetery Dance gift edition of Carrie. They did a beautiful job with this book and I look forward to the rest of the series. No need to post a picture as others have already done so. However I will post pics of some SK related art by Robert Addison (Second Coming prototype artist) that I acquired this weekend.

The first image is of Girl In The Yard 1960, 19.5"x29.5" Egg Tempera on board. I love the surreal vibe of this painting
http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/500/medium/Girl_In_The_Yard_c.jpg

Next up is Store Fronts 1961, 19.5"x34.5", Egg Tempera on board. Fun fact: the individual in the lower left standing across the street and reflected in the window is Addison's roommate, Leroy Neiman.

I hung an original Whelan over my desk today .....

Quality picture hangers securely mounted to walls and frame, away from sunlight, away from fluorescent lights, away from grimy little hands and paws, away from where a sprinkler might accidentally go off, away from kitchen smoke and grease, away from even the remotest possibility of an "oops" ... right?

I saw McCartney in 1993; best concert I've ever been to. He did 95% Beatles with just a couple of Wings mixed in; it was just like being at a Beatles concert. That was still fairly soon after John Lennon was killed too, so when they put him up on the big screen and did his songs it was all really emotional. Great great show, hope you get to see him.

The other day I've seen a set of magazines being sold for 20€ (a set of 95 magazines), I contacted the seller asking if could buy just one. Wasnt keen of it, so I bought a whole year of magazine, for 10€.
It included a very rare french item, with an abridged version of CARRIE. I previously had one of those and got it signed when King was in Paris.

May have some other awesome deals comin in :)

In my opinion, whoever got this one got a pretty awesome deal. I was trying to bid using my phone during the last 2 minutes, but 'something happened' and I couldn't get through.

Sure, there's some bumping and it's missing accessories, but those can be pieced together over the years. I just picked up the signed Art of Skeleton Crew portfolio for $20 the other day. I would've liked to win this one.

Skeleton Crew Stephen King signed limited edition 1/1000 NO NUMBER 1985 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skeleton-Crew-Stephen-King-signed-limited-edition-1-1000-NO-NUMBER-1985-/351376295227?nma=true&si=OGP8Ibz7PBULKsil4nTckvju344%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)

I don't think so... I seen this and did not bother... it is not in perfect shape AND missing some key items. For me that is a fail. In my time of collecting I have never seen those key items up for sale that would allow you to "piece" this collectable back together. I think this went for the right price...

Yeah, to each their own on what constitutes "awesome". Fortunately we're all free to post our own perceived awesome deals... and ones that others got when our fat fingers can't move quickly enough to get in one last bid.

For me, the selling price of an actual mid 80's low run S/L from a defunct publishing house, Potter interior illustrations, extra story not in mass edition, quality of materials, etc. just doesn't compare well (in terms of dollar for dollar value) with flat signed later print paperbacks.

I don't know about an awesome deal, but it's a good deal - it is an out-of-series S/L edition, after all. I think a signed older book like that is worth $150 for the verified signature alone.

I will say when I sent in the color choices I wasn't sure if he would/could do them. Jeff did state that there might be some slight difficulties on the Beige/Red but that one came out perfect. However the White/Black took a little tweaking, the black would not adhere perfectly to the white material but a sharpie fixed the very few spots and you cannot even tell no matter how close you look. If you are thinking about ordering from Jeff, I recommend it.

For those who think I can't count to 4  the fourth item is the couch they are on. Just received on Sunday a Lazy-Boy sectional couch. Thanks all for the kind comments! It always fun to share some new items your excited about. The IT exceeded my expectations! The other 2 items were my personal spoils of the NY event. I picked up NLR Monday at Fedex and had it signed Tuesday, it was meant to be. I left with 2 'Salem's Lot books but I gave a copy to Glen/Roseannebarr. He and his Family went out of there way to welcome and lookout for my Mom while I was getting the NLR signed. He is a member I'm lucky to call my friend.

here is a pic of 4 recent pride and joys for me:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/500/medium/IMG_20150427_221715459.jpg

For those who think I can't count to 4  the fourth item is the couch they are on. Just received on Sunday a Lazy-Boy sectional couch. Has two powered recliners, one manual recliner, and console with a drawer and a compartment for remotes, plus 2 power outlets for laptops, and 2 (or is it 3) usb ports for charging. Sorry didn't take a picture of the whole thing.

Six Stories I received in mid March. Normally I don't bother with after market signatures/inscriptions, but this one didn't seem to impact the price so I went for it since it was Roman Numeraled.

My second favorite author is Bernard Werber, a french author that mixes fiction, science & philosophy in his books. He is mostly known as the author of a trilogy of books about ants, and only his first book was translated into english : EMPIRE OF THE ANTS (translated in over 30 languages).

Today, and after years of searching a 1st / 1st of this book, I managed to find one (accidentally), for less than a tener !

1st print, february 1991, one out of 20,000 printed copies, and quite a very fine copy !
He will be participating at an event next month, so I'll try to get it signed :)

Yes, mine's the same. The front matches the bottom which then is matched to the back and top. The only sides that don't match are the top with the front. But, it is quite close so doesn't look out of place. It very nicely done!

I kind of agree. Wasn't really terribly interested myself. Sure, I'd have grabbed if it'd been available here for retail, and I did bid on the auction (outbid already), but that's about all the effort I'm gonna make.

I think the idea was that independant bookstores were offered the item at essentially cost. Even on a $12 item, unless someone purchased other things, the store made $8 or less (I don't know if stores paid for shipping). I am happy for the stores.
As mentioned, some stores (none around here that I am aware of) apparently offered it at cost.

http://imageshack.com/a/img673/8712/RttrCA.jpg
Wasted signature since Odenkirk has NOTHING to do with King.(You better hope he will star in the movie.) You would have been better off having him sign the back of the sales slip That you could put inside of a Breaking Bad DVD case.

One of the members from this site, he lives close to me in the Cleveland area, sent me an email about this broadside poster. I called both stores. One had 2 left and was closing and wouldn't hold them. The other store had 3 left and would hold them. I figured, for 12 bucks a piece.....sure. I went there, and she sold me them for 5 bucks a piece, 16 and change out the door for all 3. Guess I made out :).

YOU HAD BOB SIGN WHAT?
http://imageshack.com/a/img673/8712/RttrCA.jpg
Wasted signature since Odenkirk has NOTHING to do with King.(You better hope he will star in the movie.) You would have been better off having him sign the back of the sales slip That you could put inside of a Breaking Bad DVD case.

I was there to buy a Finders Keepers Broadside......so for me, it was appropriate that he sign one of five copies I bought at that particular store.

The Odenkirk signature has no real monetary value anyhow....and I have no intention of selling it, so if I am happy with it, that is all that matters.

Rest assured 5+ years from now a "new" collector will be frantic to obtain one.
Even then they will be available at a reasonable price.

Exactly!!! Put this with a TMSG and list it on eBay for $500 in five years!!! LOL

I still think our shenanigans a while back were directly responsible for the market up tick for TMSG!!! LOL

Holy Shit! That just reminded me! I have an extra HF item that was sent to me months ago from a contact at Hodder. I had put it away and forgot all about it.

This is the item, I can either put it on eBay or we can do a 'sealed bid' auction here and save on some ebay Fees. Highest bid sent to me before the end of next week wins, I will cover postage anywhere in the world. I'll also include the envelope it was sent in (it does have my address on it though). What does everyone prefer?

Both are first editions. Firestarter is in surprisingly good condition, it's tight and no creasing to the spine, so I doubt it's even been read. Still some yellowing to the pages though. Got them for a damn good deal too, $15 plus shipping :)
