Carrie looks really nice. I like the eerie vibe to the Pet Sematary artwork but the choice of font and placement ruin it for me.

I prefer simple slipcases like umm...Sub Press's GREEN MILE (for the gift edition)..... (at least that type of texture). Not smooth and definitely not littered with graphics.

I didn't buy this Carrie as I had heard mediocre things for the first two. I was planning of grabbing CD's gift edition of Carrie, in an assumption the quality would be better.

Now that this is starting to make its way in to collectors hands, would those of you who have all three PS editions recommend Carrie?

I think I said this before somewhere, but I am treating PS editions as "UK Gift Editions" and the CD's as "US Gift Edition's" As I collect all GE's then I have bought all of both. I really liked PS's Christine, but I was a little disappointed with Pet Sematary (the quantity of artwork and the quality didn't seem as good) but Carrie has raised the bar again. Having said that, CD really go that extra mile with their books and when you open one, it just shouts "COLLECTIBLE" at you. If I could only have one, it would be CD's every day and twice on Sunday.

Yes, it is stamping from the dust jacket cover manufacturer. I think Gaylord stamps their covers. None of my Brodart covers have stamping on the paper inside.

To each their own. I'm not a fan of Chadbourne's art for Carrie but it's still nicer than King limiteds done by multi-billion dollar business: Under the Dome and 11/22/63. Those are cheapest of the cheap, cloth over boards trade editions with a signature page. You look at it wrong and those corners get bumped.

Signature page! That's a generous description. It's a blank page except for King's sig.

I don't like Chadbourne either (his people look like a child's art project) but I like the cover and some of his other work.

Yes, but I don't always browse into the catalog just thinking there must be something I didn't know!
While, when I visit this forum I can be sure that I often discover new things !

Correct. Once you see something new and interesting, read the Catalog entry for additional information.

Wasn't even looking for another copy of DOTT, but my matching number showed up on ebay. Obviously I couldn't let that get away! :)

Congrats Scoogs! Which ones do you still need in your number?

I've known where DT3 is for over a year and even have a copy to trade with the owner. Life just got in the way and I haven't had time to pursue it yet.
I still need to locate LSOE and TWTTK.

I do have a copy of LSOE, so I'm happy to at least have the book.
Matching numbers haven't been a big priority for me overall, but if they show up, I will go for them.

Actually, the first one he ever made was for me, so I kinda got to help design it and it was for the gift (1/600) version. The coolest thing about, Dolso is that generally they are custom made so you can just send the measurements and wham, you got it!!
