Not really......when I was building my S/L collection.....i bought whatever number was available.

If my matching number came up after I already owned one....I would usually sell off my old one and replace it with the matching number one.....usually.

I now have two signed copies of Christine.........maybe I should try and trade it for a S/L Firestarter.

I've wanted a barrister bookcase for a while now and when I bumped into this one that was reasonably priced and located near me for pick-up, I couldn't resist buying it. It was a pain in the ass to apply a tinted UV blocking film to the glass, but it turned out nice and displays well.

Good memory! :) Mom and baby are fine and I was able to be there, thankfully. We were sequestered in a private room and asked not to leave it the entire time. No visitors either, obviously. It was a little weird, but it was also kind of cool to have it just be the three of us:)

She updated the mat for "Gunslinger on the Beach" from brown to the textured white and framed and hung "The slow mutants (number 19/50)." I love the choices she made and how they complement each other.

She knew that they were both by the same artist and book, but she had no idea that together they formed the front and back covers of the Gunslinger 1st edition!

I've been thinking since a few years about books in braille. Kind of looked for one, but couldnt find anything. Then left that idea aside and hunted more seriously at the end of last year and found a french website, from a non profit organisation that convert documents in braille and were selling some King books.

It takes a loooooot of place though. This is an abridged version of JOYLAND and it takes 5 books. Their full version is documents.
Mr Mercedes is 12 books and Bag of bones is like 15 :P

Even us "old guys" learn something new often enough....is what I enjoy A LOT about King collecting....something new comes along that you did not know even existed (though some here may say how could you not?)

Revival LetterPress....now I knew the Lettered edition came in a pretty cool looking box (pictured, white larger box), but what I just discovered is that the regular Gift edition....well it seems a few were sent in boxes (see picture below) but am told that there were some production problems so most Gift Editions were sent without the box....I've seen literally a hundred+ Gift Editions for sale, but never did I see that LetterPress initially did a box for these, so I bought this one, just for the box!

Those were for my Patreon supporters on the higher levels who receive everything LPP does. I think I might also have sent a few boxes out to regular collectors who asked for one since I didn’t need the spares.

I did not actually ship in these boxes because there was a really strong ink smell that wouldn't dissipate, not even with a week of "sunning" them outside on my back patio. Instead, I bubble bagged the boxes and included them with the book in a larger package. I wanted the supporters to get the box, but I didn't want to risk any scent transfer to the books!

That experience is why the Lettered Edition shipping box art is very simple.

So somebody bought S/L Gunslinger #5 for 500 dollars on eBay back in May. Absolutely crazy, especially considering another S/L Gunslinger sold for somewhere in the 2K vicinity recently as well. And on a related subject, somebody can update the Dark Tower set thread, apparently complete set #5 was owned by Glenn Lord, but it's incomplete now.

Yep that’s exactly right. Those are two AGEs. I had been displaying the ALL OF THEM WITCHES on the spine but I’m currently going through a phase where all books are slipcase side facing. Since both slipcases are identical I flipped one over so the name travels up the spine European style.
