Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. Me and the girls are going to what is known as Catskill point tonight and sit by the river and listen to the bands and watch the fireworks.

Happy independence to us! I spent the day on the beach & enjoying a beautiful fireworks display.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying/has enjoyed their holiday. I met a Vietnam veteran celebrating his first fireworks show since Vietnam yesterday & it was a stark reminder of the kinds of things this country has face/will face--but it was nice to see a lot of people from different bacgrounds come together and celebrate.

Hope all the Americans had a great Independence Day, and the rest of the world enjoyed their Friday.

In the morning I ran a local 10K, then last night we went up to San Francisco for a house party at my brother-in-law's. The fog was too thick to see the fireworks, but the party was fun.
