I think I've only tasted lobster once before. I don't think I liked it too much either. Now, king crab legs on the other hand... :)

Feev, Girly, and Razz you've definately got to try lobster at least once in your life.

Bango do you go diving for your own lobsters?

And as to your question I'm not exactly sure how much it is here, I haven't bought some in awhile. But it's probably comparable to you as I'm only on the opposite side of the state.

I paid $30 for a lobster dinner in Bar Harbor, Maine. But that was with the prep and sides and all, I don't know how much it was per pound.

You'd think it would be cheaper since we were sitting on the freaking harbor where it was probably caught... restaurants bleed you dry. <_<

I may sound like an idiot here, but aren't lobsters usually cooked alive?

I think most shellfish and crustaceans are cooked alive. I think if they're dead beforehand it drastically ups the chances that you will be very ill after consuming them. My dad always tells me not to eat steamed clams if they're closed because it means they were dead before they were cooked.

I don't wanna eat something that is cooked alive. I'm not trying to start a PETA debate or anything, () it's just the thought of it bugs me.
For what it's worth, I hear lobster is tasty. :)
