Towerpedia:End-World

End-World is a fictional place in author Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. Existing at the border of Mid-World, End-World contains the Dark Tower.

Regions of End-World

Traveling southeast along the Beam takes one through several regions of End-World: Thunderclap, which contains the Calla Dogan, the Devar-Toi, and Thunderclap Station, the Discordia, which contains Fedic, Castle Discordia, the Discordia Badlands, and Le Casse Roi Russe, the White Lands of Empathica, which contain Dandelo’s house and the Federal, and finally Can’-Ka No Rey, the field of red roses surrounding the Dark Tower.

Thunderclap

Thunderclap is characterized by dead fields, deserted villages, and blasted trees. Thunderclap boasts an artificial light that mimics day for the Breakers in the Devar-Toi.

Discordia

Located in the Discordia Badlands, which were poisoned by the Crimson King, is Castle Discordia. Also known as the Castle on the Abyss, it overlooks the town of Fedic. Beyond the outer wall of the castle is a chasm known as the Devil’s Arse, which contains evil creatures that are constantly trying to plot a way out.

Castle Discordia is connected to Le Casse Roi Russe by the King’s Way. Le Casse Roi Russe is the Crimson King’s home, and was built from deep red rock that has turned black over time. The cobbled forecourt, used as the Crimson King’s execution yard, is flanked by two deserted watchtowers. The castle’s moat is the Casse Roi Russe River, a putrid yellow-foamed body of water.

White Lands of Empathica and the Can'-Ka No Rey

At the heart of End-World lies the Dark Tower. Key to the space-time continuum the Tower lies in the middle of a field of red roses known as the Can’-Ka No Rey.
