KO1

Let me clarify to avoid confusion.

Who was the first person to see Susannah arrive in New York, circa 1999 following the events of WotC?

Letti
02-19-2008, 10:40 PM
Oh, sorry. I am not good at numbers.
Trudy.
I need to check up her last name.

Letti
02-19-2008, 10:41 PM
Trudy Damascus.
I loved that girl.

KO1
02-19-2008, 10:42 PM

MonteGss
02-20-2008, 12:32 AM
Yay Letti! I can't wait for your question. :)

Letti
02-20-2008, 03:00 AM
What type of creature is Sergio exactly and where could we have met it?

KO1
02-20-2008, 01:10 PM
Wow I really don't remember a creature named Sergio at all.

Letti
02-20-2008, 01:11 PM
There was one. ;)

MonteGss
02-20-2008, 01:12 PM
Wasn't that the horse at the place where Roland takes his to be rubbed down in the city of Tull? That is a total guess. I will keep thinking, it sounds very familiar. Great question dear Letti!

MonteGss
02-20-2008, 01:17 PM
No, I'm wrong. I know it now.
Sergio is Cal Tower's cat and you would find him in The Manhattan Restaurant of the Mind. :D

KO1
02-20-2008, 01:19 PM

jayson
02-20-2008, 01:20 PM

Letti
02-20-2008, 01:22 PM
No, I'm wrong. I know it now.
Sergio is Cal Tower's cat and you would find him in The Manhattan Restaurant of the Mind. :D

You are a genius, Monte.
Your turn, my friend. :)

MonteGss

Happy Trivia! :)

ZoNeSeeK
02-20-2008, 03:14 PM
By public conveyance you mean moving people around?

MonteGss
02-20-2008, 03:14 PM
Yes.

ZoNeSeeK
02-20-2008, 03:47 PM
Tack-sees? :)

MonteGss
02-20-2008, 03:49 PM

Nope. You're on the right track though, kinda. :)

They would be considered rascist terms normally, right?

MonteGss
02-21-2008, 10:43 AM
Yes Brice, that is correct. The answer deals with Roland's learning of "NY culture" through Jack Mort. So now my friend, I believe you know the answer....

Yes Brice, that is correct. The answer deals with Roland's learning of "NY culture" through Jack Mort. So now my friend, I believe you know the answer.... Actually, it's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't think of exactly which terms were used. Maybe later, if noone gets it (but I may have made it considerably easier for someone).

MonteGss
02-21-2008, 10:47 AM
Yes, I believe you have. I intentionally left the question kinda vague to make it a mite more difficult. :)

Brice
02-21-2008, 10:49 AM
Well, I was hoping it'd come to mind, but it's not. :(

Wuducynn
02-21-2008, 10:50 AM

Where would you find this saying?

"The blood that flows through you
flows through me,
when I look in any mirror,
it's your face that I see.
Take my hand,
lean on me,
We're almost free,
Wandering boy."

BedOfRoses

Is anyone there? Need a hint? :o

Letti
02-23-2008, 09:20 AM
I wish I knew the answer, Jen... but I have no idea.

BedOfRoses
02-23-2008, 09:35 AM

Here's a hint: "Think outside the box."

Wuducynn
02-23-2008, 08:23 PM
The Talisman?

BedOfRoses
02-24-2008, 02:03 AM
No, it's in one of the 7 DT books.

Letti
02-24-2008, 02:12 AM
Is it from a Rodney Crowell's lyrics... maybe Callahan heard it once?
I am not sure at all.

BedOfRoses
02-24-2008, 09:19 AM
Letti, you have the right person - Rodney Crowell - so now I just need to know where you'd find it. :)

MonteGss
02-25-2008, 01:57 PM
Stumped me. :)

NeedfulKings
02-25-2008, 03:08 PM
I'm throwing a little hint out there on behalf of BedOfRoses. :)

The book IS Wolves of the Calla, but she's looking for the actual location of the lyrics. Good luck!

Woofer
02-26-2008, 04:24 AM
Between the argument and the prologue.

BedOfRoses
02-26-2008, 06:51 PM

Woofer
02-27-2008, 04:31 AM
Thanks guys! Excellent question, BedOfRoses.

Sorry for the delay. I crashed early last night on cold medicine. I'm trying to nip it in the bud before it grabs my whole body.

Okay, here goes:
What name did Jake say was on his bowling card and where did he get the name?

MonteGss
02-27-2008, 07:00 AM
Tom Denby. He got it from Denby's Discount Drug store.

Anyone please feel free to snatch the feather from me and pose a new question. :)

This being is mentioned by Roland in Wolves of the Calla in relation to Susannah. Analagous to the Roman god Mercury.

I'm really not. I know it has a wealth of DT information in it so that is cool to me. I however like the challenge of trivia questions and using the concordance seems to be against the point of a trivia thread. Afterall, aren't we testing our memory and knowledge of the series? Trying to figure out where the answers are by memory/knowledge is what makes trivia fun. To me, of course. :D

To each his own. I just like the questions!

Ok, back on topic.
Here is an easy one while we wait for the official next question from R_of_G:

What is Roland's red-haired ancestor's name?

This question obviously becomes null and void once R_of_G returns. :D

So, I'm just passing the time with an easy question. :)

Wuducynn
03-10-2008, 05:40 PM
Oh thats annoying...instead of taking me to the last post in the thread it takes me to the last one I've read and here I respond to that one not realizing another page has gone forward...anyway...so you don't like the Concordance because you feel you should either know the answers or not? So you don't look in the books?

MonteGss
03-10-2008, 05:43 PM
I can see how you would think that. I wasn't very clear on my previous post. What I mean is that trivia should be testing your knowledge or memory of the series and to see if you if it can help you track the answers down. Of course I use the books to answer! But I use my knowledge of the series to find the approximate section in the series where I can find those answers. Does that make sense my friend?

Well, of course it makes sense. The Concordance is just a condensed Dark Tower, doesn't make it any less challenging. If you post a question thats hard for me, having the Concordance doesn't do me much good because I don't even know where to look, same as the books.
