I voted for the scene from Wolves.

"For my sister!"
Molly Doolin was one tough broad.

While I liked the scene with Callahan and the Hitler Bros. it wasn't so much a fight as it was Callahan getting the shit kicked out of him, and then some tough talk and threats from Deepenau & Tower. I like my fighting scenes with a bit more fightig from all sides and that is why I chose the fight scene from Wolves. I picture it perfectly every time I re-read Gran Pere Jaffords' story.

Same here, I love that! I was thinking the whole time I read the story that someone should have been that bold more often.

Its easy to Monday Morning Quarterback the Calla's situation though. They've had generations of fear and complacency towards the Wolves that had become a part of their cultures.

Like I said, easy enough for you to say. ;) Although I agree with you. Thats one of the things I love about when WOTC spoiler Callahan lays the proverbial smack down at the beginning of the book.

Yep, I loved the analogy he used about the heartwood of a tree and you can't just keep taking it away.
