I have a new shoot scheduled in a couple of weeks with sweet model who also just happens to be a ballerina... should get some very interesting shots....
here's an edit from the last shoot... (I still have dozens to weed through from that shoot)
kind of a simple one... but thought I'd play with it anyways.

ha sand man... I'll try to find some boobs in the future.... have to say though... I've always been a smaller perky type guy myself.... not that I don't appreciate fuller figured gals also.... ;)

so.... here's a sample of my post editing on the photos.... the pre-edit is the shot straight out of the cam. - some, like this one, needs a lot more edting than others.
sometimes I can spend hours on a single photo to get the look I want... this was an unfinished in process capture (posted above is the finished one)... as you can see, I do lots of airbrush manipulation.

Nice photo. One note (and hopefully this makes sense) but when I scroll and "hide" the top border the photo appear to me to have more of a landscape feel to it. Maybe this is because removing the top border moves the horizon to the form instead of the border.

It's a "fake" feather - yeah, this one was from a workshop of 11 photographers and 7 models, and there were 4 makeup artists that did the makeup....personally I would have preferred not to have that large a thing glued right by her eye... but I had no control over the makeup :(

LOL Many thanks, Big Guy!! Curious, do the models ever get to see the finished work? Generally speaking, if they do, what are their reactions? Overwhelmingly positive? Negative? Or a shrug?

I have several of the models as facebook friends....and most of the others as model meyhem friends, so they get to see alot of the pics. Most have only had positives, Some I guess give shrugs by just not saying anything at all... but I guess when you get several thousand shots taken of yourself every week (from all over the world). they see a lot, so they have pretty high to impress standards.

can't say I ever proposed... or propositioned any of the models... sorry, I am a bit of a realist and while it's nice to dream...I'm not really one who sets out to intentionally be a fool, spent to much time DJing in strip clubs and overhearing the girls talk about the old man suckers who tipped them and actually thought the gals wanted them.

yeah... I really like the effect of that shoot... going to try to do more of the multi-exposure stuff in the future.


I actually used one of my DJ strobes, put it on a slow flash and took 4 second open shutter pics... then had the model move.


Unfortunately she wasn't as active as I wanted her to be... I'd love to shoot the ballerina model with some of these type shots... and use some flowy fabric movements - in the plans for future.
