I'm interested to see what you all come up with!
Please remember to read the Contest Posting Guidelines if you haven't already, and have fun!

I'll keep that in mind - I need to do some work this week and get my list of artwork prioritized. :)
I was doing a little research on Ghostwood trees and look at the number 1 search result from Google!!!! :panic:

Hahaha, but wait no Charyou trees?
I might yet enter this one with a sketch which I can later use as a basis for a full 3D work to through into my series. It would be one heck of a great challenge for me to do this one. Now to find some spare pico-seconds to doodle!
Daghain

You can totally do a Charyou Tree. Anything you think represents any or all aspects of the festival. I'm leaving the interpretation up to you. :)
I so hope I will have the time. A lot of unexpected stuff happened all at once. I've already made a first sketch, though http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bear_wink-1.gif
will aspire after the 3rd place again... Irish Dawn knows why... http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bear_wub.gif

Sorry, I knew I should be more specific in that reply. I was talking in reference to the Rolands Florist link.

Friendly reminder, contest closes 4/15. ;)
oh no. I made a sketch, and will try to work on the drawing itself on Sunday or Monday - whenever I can find the time - but was going to do the main of it next Wednesday... and it's the 16th.

I can extend the deadline, Jean. :)
Now I am sure it will have to be extended... I made a first sketch, and I am afraid that will be it (I hardly will have the time to touch it up), but I would dearly love everyone else to take part

Please please extend it for another week! erin and obscurejude were going to participate, and I do so hope darkthoughts will, too, and others! http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bearheart.gif

That should take the pressure off a little bit. :)

I love that Jean! I keep meaning to ask you if you know of the Serbian artist Dusanka Petrovic:
http://www.srpskoblago.org/gallery/2.html?g2_itemId=3413
you have that same feel to your work - I love his stuff immensely :couple:
I'm hoping to enter this contest, having the kids at home on school break has not given me much time...but the extension will really help ;)
wow! no, I didn't know that artist, thank you so much! there's something reminding of Chagall, or Henri Rousseau, or Niko Pirosmani about him, it's absolutely terrific

OOOOOHHHHHH....Niiice!
Thanks :)
If only I could have translated what I had in mind into reality... I wanted to have Mr. Stuffy there encircled by a crowd of town-folk. Some would be laughing, children might have expressions of terror. A close look at the face of Mr. Stuffy might have shown them a pair of human eyes behind what most thought was just patchwork effigy filled with straw..
Anyway, there was no way to get that image from my brain to my hands, so I was left with what you see there.
Turned out really good man--the idea is amazing.

It depends. Sometimes we get two or three, and I think the most so far was 5 or 6. Not everyone participates in every contest.
I think as the site grows, the competition will get bigger, for sure. :)
I always like to see new people getting involved. :)
