Hi,

A discussion began here that, with all good intentions, was getting way off topic of Mr. R.T.'s book collection. I've moved the relevant posts to the "King Books/Items Wanted" thread in the main Calvin's Corner forum area.

Thanks.

I am changing my collection to Signed Lettered and Numbered Editions.

herbertwest
05-09-2009, 08:51 AM
and I remember that you only recently started collecting Proofs & S/L- Lettered...
Your collection grows pretty quickly, congrats!

Would it being "greedy" to ask pictures of your collection and display as in your house?
I'd LOOOVE to see it

On your listing for the lettered Skeleton Crew it says 1/26, I thought there were 52 lettered (and numerous PC's).

You are correct RF. It should be 1/52. A cut-and-paste typo I will correct later.

I'd love to show you it :), but I only have my trade editions on display. The good stuff is hidden away in wardrobes in my spare rooms at the moment.

I still have to convert one of my steadings into a gallery before I can display my books.

herbertwest

a whole steading as a gallery : that sounds awesome!

Hope you find time to convert it.... it will soon be summer (ok, scottish summer : less rain  )

Here's a picture of my Trade first editions

Behind the US Trades are the UK ones. Every 6 months I change the display round.

What can I say that hasn't been said here. I love your collection and display. Wish I had the time to re-arrange my King-books. The only re-arranging I do is when I buy a new book and, as I have put my collection in chronological order, I have to find the correct spot and shove (ok - gently move) everything to the right a few inches over. What a hassle...:pullhair:

That's because to a collector, it ain't so much about storage as it is a challenge!!!! Right? Gotta fill it up!!!

It's a link (but the underlining doesn't work anymore since the new forum was implemented).

Randall Flagg
04-21-2012, 12:10 PM
You can underline the hyperlink manually, it sucks but I haven't figured out how to change the entire forum to underline AND make blue hyperlinks.
FYI, code for blue is 1[1COLOR=#0000ff]1[/COLOR1]1 Leave the "1's" out

The Twice the Power that is signed and that's the only one in the world!!! Double wow on that one. And some of those rare proofs. Like The Green Mile number 1. Incredible. I think I will be taking a closer look again at some time.

I sold my proofs collection years ago. These are the leftovers. Incidentally it's The Green Mile number 6 that is the rare one.

MikeDuke
01-29-2019, 09:00 AM
Oh. Right. 6 was rare because King did not want too many people knowing the ending. My mistake. Besides the selling of the proofs, is the rest of the list up to date. Because if it is. it's damn impressive.
