Inscribed to Michelle Slung.
Also with this copy got a three page signed handwritten note from King. The contents of the note refer to Michelle Slung's book Momilies, with some offerings by King of sayings from his Mother.
The P.S. on the book refers to sayings used in Momilies. Michele Slung was also an editor who published Stephen King's story "The Revelations of 'Becka Paulson" in her anthology I Shudder At Your Touch.

Lettered The Regulators. I love the Dragon Rebound books because of the uniqueness and thought process behind the production of the books and the artistic way they are made. This is the same, done well ahead of its time, and not a rebound.

Never tire of viewing this type of quality, absolutely wonderful.
The “Michelle Slung” with letter, for me is a winner, great copy.
I think anyone appreciates the higher price for The Dark Tower (Number 1), is it worth it? All day, what a spectacular acquisition.
Nothing in your collection pulls any of the other items down. Lovely choices, great books.
Thank you for sharing.

The original 19 O'CLOCK by Michael Whelan

I was lucky enough to go pick it up at Michael's home. The painting was only recently done.

Per his website, Reimagining the KA symbol that Michael created for THE DARK TOWER (Book 7). Inspiration came while listening to the original audiobook of the THE GUNSLINGER, read by Stephen King himself. There are several bones around the studio, human and other, which seemed to fit the atmosphere when arranged just the right way. Notice the Crimson King's sigil borne by the spider, the bullet holes in the wood, and the hands of the watch.

This is the original art by Don Maitz. From the Grant limited edition of The Talisman. This was created in 1984, which seems long time ago. The Grant edition of Talisman was designed by Thomas Canty, but had illustrations from several wonderful artists like Maitz, Jeffery Jones, Bernie Wrightson, Phil Hale, etc.
This was a double pager.
It was after this painting was produced by Maitz, when Grant asked King which illustrator he would like to do the art for Desperation, King selected Don Maitz.

The Talisman is soon going to be made into a Netflix series created by the Duffer Brothers who did Stranger Things, along with Steven Spielberg.

Signed deluxe edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Ornately embellished hardcover, signed on the half-title page in blue felt tip. These are reproductions of the handwritten copies of JK Rowling’s story collection The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which she handwrote and illustrated six copies of her collection of fairytales set in the Harry Potter universe, giving them as presents to “those most closely connected to the Harry Potter books”. A seventh copy, which Rowling made to raise money for her charity Lumos, was sold at auction by Sotheby’s in 2007 for £1.95m. Amazon (Bezos) was said to have won it.

There were numbered signed editions of the reproductions, 1 to 100. Rowling also signed a few other reproductions that were not numbered, and this is one of them.

The Talisman, limited to 70 copies and some lettered copies. Plus reportedly 2 Publisher's Copies of which this is one and 5 Designers copies. The 70 special numbered copies of this edition are signed by the artists involved as well as King and Straub.
This copy was designated as a ”publishers copy” of which there are two.

Lovely edition, with art from several artists, and happy to have them all their signatures in this edition.
Can't wait for the Netflix series of The Talisman directed/produced by the Duffer Brothers from Stranger Things and produced by Steven Spielberg.

A Very Rare Signed Easton Press The Dead Zone
What makes this copy one of only a few, I would say less than 5, is that this is signed by Stephen King. There were 1300 copies published by the Easton Press in 1993, and then another 1300 copies published in 2004. None were released as a signed edition.
This copy, from the 2004 edition, was signed by Stephen King afterwards and is therefore scarce as such.
It is said that Stephen King was in awe of how Easton Press books looked in general and had commented he would love it if Easton Press published a few of his books. And then a few years later Easton Press published The Dead Zone, the only Stephen King book Easton Press has done.

This copy is so fine it looks like it just came off the printer. Beautiful art by Jill Bauman. This was from Alec's collection, and am happy to be the latest caretaker.

This is the original painting by Mark Stutzman for the cover of the first edition of Duma Key that I recently acquired. The painting is about 30"x20".
Also, when compared to the actual Dust Jacket of Duma Key, the artwork was reversed for publication to allow more room for the title and author credit. According to the artist, he was told that he needed to provide at least 50% space for the title and author name.
Many find the cover of Duma Key to be one of the prettiest covers for a first edition King book. Also, according to an interview with Stephen King published by Lilja's Library, King had a few things to say about what the cover should be.

The Omen lettered by Suntup.
The Omen trilogy remains my favorite horror saga, and happy that Suntup did a limited signed edition of this book, which is a first signed edition of this story.

Thank you. It is an honor to be the latest caretaker of this particular piece, after you and Kris.

Also so glad you were quick to order as Rachel stopped making them. I love it. Have been in great awe of this statue since I first saw it, and enjoyed going through the different phases in the Rachel Readman thread. What a talent.

I was able to acquire the original cover art painting of Lisey's Story painted by Mark Stutzman. The blood red dustjacket hides the beautiful cover boards, due to the art director wanting to make the entire book an art packaging, with Boo'ya Moon being a dreamland. King has often described this book as his favorite he has written. The art is a very beautiful piece of work in itself, one of the prettiest King covers.

St.Troy, it is the Dragon Rebound. I was amazed at Paul Suntup's creativity and thoroughly enjoyed the discussions between the members here on his books as he was making them. Just fell in love with the set. I thought each book was super imaginative, and were work of art that I just needed to have them. After that, I got into collecting other King books.

Hi Elliot, thank you. Yes, the Lisey's Story art is beautiful in itself and the intricate detail for each of the flowers must have entailed a lot of work for the artist. Mark Stutzman had a great run with the King covers, and this is a very pretty piece. I have 6 King art work, with 3 of them being covers. And 1 more Suntup cover of Hannibal. Never thought about art until I started seeing some original art of King books on display by various members here. I think the first time I'd seen original art of books were when I saw a video of Bob Jackson's basement.

Alec, thank you. Always appreciate your compliments. I myself am surprised that I've begun to appreciate the art work more than the books, and am always looking at or searching for photos of art from books more than the books themselves these days.
