It'll be a shame if it doesn't move on. Hopefully it can pull through.

Just as with House of Wax, I'm surprised at the success of The Fly. It's a fun movie (and maybe people are also remembering the remake), but leaving Sunset Boulevard out of the playoffs seems wrong.

Yeah, I honestly thought Sunset Boulevard would run away with this group. Go figure.

So since this might be the sunset on Sunset, here's a terrible but funny story. Also NSFW.

In Ed Sikov's book, On Sunset Boulevard: The Life and Times of Billy Wilder, Ed claims that at some function Nancy Reagan asks Billy Wilder what was the significance of the chimpanzee at the beginning, to which Billy replied, “Don’t you understand? Before Joe Gillis came along, she was fucking the monkey.”

THAT story and more are in this interesting read that discusses just what a punk rock movie this was for it's time. It basically craps all over the industry but so many from that industry appear in it.

HOW A 1950 MOVIE HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL HOLLYWOOD TO GO F**K ITSELF (https://www.grumpire.com/how-a-1950-movie-had-the-audacity-to-tell-hollywood-to-go-fk-itself/)

I see the Dracula comparison a lot but one I don't think I've ever seen is a twisted horror take on Beauty and the Beast. With Norma being the beast of course.

One of the best of the decade got lost here. I'm curious if maybe a bunch of members here just haven't seen it yet?

I've seen it nearly 25 to 30 times now. It's SUCH a good movie and deserved at least to be in the Top Ten.

Definitely. I'd personally rank it even higher. It's such a classic, iconic film.
