So bummed these two got put up against each other. I voted Halloween, it's such an iconic horror film, and one that I watch every year. I fear this might be the end of it's run, which will be very disappointing. It was my dark horse pick to win the competition.

Went with Halloween, rewatch this one a lot, Alien only rarely.

Even though all 4 of my final four are alive, neither of these was in it. So at least 1 final four will be eliminated.

This was the toughest decision of the four. I actually initially voted for Alien but went back and changed my mind. I feel like Halloween was way more influential on subsequent slashers that dominated the following decade than Alien was on sci-fi/horror. Love both though, so that's why I'm indecisive.

This was a tricky one for me. Like many people, Halloween is an annual rewatch for me. That said, Alien is just such an amazing film. It literally spawned an entire subgenre.

Alien, though it was a hard vote for sure.

Michael Myers is gone...but I suspect he'll be back, as he's been known to hide in a variety of decades.

This sucks, Alien took out 2 of the best horror films.
