How to Play

1. It’s simple. Click on the following link and it should take you to the ESPN pigskin pickem site. If you don’t have an ESPN profile, you will have to set one up.

If you have questions about how to set things up in our group, post your questions and the community of folks here will try and help you out.

2. The contest will begin with the first regular season game in Week 1. Only one entry per person in our group and it must be identifiable to me as a member on this board or you can PM me with your ESPN handle. Once the season has started the group is locked. This means that any latecomers will not be able to join (sorry about that!), so please get in early. Picks for week 1 can actually be made now!

3. The contest will end at the conclusion of the regular season.

4. At the end of the regular season, whoever has the best Win/Loss record wins the coveted First Place trophy. We also award trophies for Second, Third, and a (much sought after, one of a kind, not available in any other contest) Last Place Trophy**

**In order to qualify for last place, you need to pick every week, or suffer a penalty for any game(s) not picked. To be safe, just be sure to get IN THE GAME each week and make your picks early!!!!

Honestly, I'm not sure, but I believe so. And now the Patriots/Chief game this weekend will be postponed due to Covid, but hopefully still played in "week 4" Tuesday. This many issues after only three weeks - I think the season is in grave danger.

The Steelers and Titans aren't skipping their bye weeks, they just had them moved to this week. Week seven was the Titans' original bye week. The Steelers were suppose to play the Ravens that week. Both the Steelers and Ravens had a bye in week eight so that game was moved there. So three teams had their bye weeks switched for that schedule change.

A lot more will have to switch to make the Patriots/Chiefs work if they have to move it. They may just have to play it after the regular season was suppose to end. If this keeps happening there might be a lot of games in that extra week.

I haven't seen one yet, but I suspect a couple of options: "sick" team forfeits the game or add a the NFL adds a week before post-season play.

I am still against him, have been from the start of his second hire. Our GM is killing it though. The last 2 minutes of Saturdays game scream stupid. Go for the touchdown on 3rd down and then 2 points, squib kickoff to kill 5 more seconds instead of kicking in the end zone and killing no time. Then all they can do is a Hail Mary. If they get that, oh well. I felt like I was watching a high school coach with those decisions.

While we are not opposed to giving additional trophies, with this number of contenders, we are considering whether to invoke a tie-breaker. We'll let everyone know in the coming days. One way to avoid that is to bring your best game everyone!

Here are our thoughts on potential ties.

First Place - at this time, we are planning to award a trophy (First Place - tie) to all players finishing in First Place. You deserve that!

If there is a tie for second place, we reserve the right to have those players enter a tiebreak for Second and Third Place trophies. If there is no tie for second place, the third place players will enter a tiebreak for the Third Place trophy. In all instances, we will use ESPN's overall tiebreak rules as follows:

OVERALL TIEBREAKERS:
● Tiebreaker #1 - Higher number of points scored for Week 17
● Tiebreaker #2 - Higher number of points scored for Week 16
● Tiebreaker #3 - Higher number of points scored for Week 15
● Tiebreaker #4 - Higher number of points scored for Week 14
● Tiebreaker #5 - Higher number of points scored for Week 13 Tiebreakers will continue backwards from Week 13 to Week 1.

The Browns have been losers for quite sometime and I'm sure their fans are starving for some good action in the post season. Plus, you gotta root for, Mayfield a little. He;s a bit of an underdog QB by NFL standards yet he manages to entertain. That game against the, Ravens was a true gem. It would be cool to see a rematch.

Some additional observations from the TB/Wash game. As a life long Yankees/Giants/Jets fan I absolutely HATE, Tom Fucking Brady!! But even I gotta give it to that motherfucker. Much as Boston fans acknowledged, Jeter and Rivera (both G.O.A.T.'s at their respective positions*), he's the G.O.A.T., QB of the NFL. I don't think the, Bucs will go much further in the post season (they just don't seem to be able to play up to their full potential even in a playoff game) you gotta hand it to the guy. 43 yrs old and there he is in the playoff's slinging it around and winning football games. 6 Championships, numerous records and near records he's just accomplished everything in the game at his position that a man can ever hope to accomplish. He really has no peers, just as Jeter and Mariano.

Having said that, as I stated his team just can't seem to realize and apply all that FUCKING TALENT!!! As much heart & soul as the Washington team played with today there is no way this game should have been that close. Talented guys with drops, missed blocks and just no heart. Unless he can kick the teams' collective ass into shape for next week they are likely to go down. No way they will be able to unseat, KC or anyone else unless they rise up.

Did you guys see, Brady's reaction to, Washington' last score? lol He's a fucking motherfucker when it when it comes to competiveness! Makes me wonder what his marriage is like as he must just literally eat, drink, sleep and play/practice football 24/7/365. His wife, who I know is a top tier model, must also be likewise and a fucking flaming Bitch!!!! LOL LOL

That kid Washington trotted out there at QB played his mother loving heart out!!!! He's a gamer and Washington may have a silver lining from this loss in being able to take away from this game what they now know about him and can employ in the coming years.

Fucking shame the Seahawks couldn't pull out their famous heroics and manage the W today. The Rams won that game with heir defense. They just may be dangerous going forward too. Remember what the Giants manged in, 2008 with a similar team makeup, just enough offense and a devastating defense!!

As a rule I totally agree with you with regard to that word in just about every instance it may be used. Congratulations, Jerome. I think I mentioned somewhere in the middle of the year that this was a special group of contestants. I must say, though, that when I logged on to ESPN on Sunday night at about 7:30 EST, I was tied for the lead and I thought I would be the winner. Only 1 full game and less than 90 seconds of another left to play. I had the underdog and led by 7 when Denver stopped playing defense and let the Raiders score a touchdown. Something felt like Gruden would go for 2...and he did...and they scored and won. But I still had a chance to tie because the Eagles were going to beat the WFT. And they were...until 1:52 left in the 1st half when the Eagles coach basically forfeited the game. I am glad he was fired! Anyway, the last day was fun because games were tight and everyone had to be good. So again, congratulations to Jerome and the rest of the tdt.org fans who participated. A great year!

Only 1 full game and less than 90 seconds of another left to play. I had the underdog and led by 7 when Denver stopped playing defense and let the Raiders score a touchdown. Something felt like Gruden would go for 2...and he did...and they scored and won. But I still had a chance to tie because the Eagles were going to beat the WFT. And they were...until 1:52 left in the 1st half when the Eagles coach basically forfeited the game. I am glad he was fired! Anyway, the last day was fun because games were tight and everyone had to be good. So again, congratulations to Jerome and the rest of the tdt.org fans who participated. A great year!

All in all, kind of a sloppy defensive game. Brady, had a very good 1st half then blew chunks. TB's defense are the heroes here. Them and a couple bad breaks and a blown call by Lafluer. Still, at least it was a bit of a nail-biter.

Yesterday was pretty bad, but the Broncos v Seahawks game is still the all time worst for me. Robbed of all tension pretty much after the first quarter after Seattle ran away with it.

Seriously, Rich? Just imagine the difference in PR and Press had, Brady lost. Now, he's their bonafide poster boy for the NFL. The TB defense was indeed awesome, but I still think they got a lot of help with the difference in calls when the respective teams were on offense. I mean, c'mon there were more than a couple of really questionable calls that went TB's way and there was nothing reciprocal. Maybe the new female ref made a few blunders or the league "suggested" something. There was definitely some "Jordan Rules" in play.

Nevertheless, KC was kinda fucked going in. Their O-line was comprised of several back-ups and, Mahomes had a bad foot. Whatever the reasons it was a crappy game to watch overall IMHO. You're definitely right about the TB defense though. They should get the lion's share of the praise for the win. They were awesome.

I disagree that they had NOTHING to do with it but I doubt they changed the outcome. There were some pretty ticky-tacky calls on the Chiefs' secondary...and a LOT of missed holding calls on the T.B. O' line. The referees interjected themselves WAY too much!

Mahomes' Horizonal pass into Hill's facemask was a BRILLANT throw though. Maybe the Chiefs shouldn't serve popcorn at the pregame meetings. It looked like Kelsey had a lot of popcorn also.

"Hmmmm...Brady is driving for a touchdown but the half is about to expire. I've GOT IT!! I'll call time out and give him MORE time!!!"
