I think with Sam Jackson and without snakes, it will be just fine. :D

Alright, after watching the trailer, and seeing the additions to the story, I'm more excited than I was before. This one is going to put Cusack on top.

I'll have to see this one when it comes out. I'm sure I can drag along some friends, too, so I'm not some ubergeek in the theatre bitching about what they got wrong...

It's currently running at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1408/), even E&R gave it two thumbs up. Also SK, gave it his nod of approval.

It's a pleasure to be able to recommend 1408, the Dimension Pictures adaptation of my story. It stars John Cusack and opens this Friday. This is a genuinely disquieting movie--the damn thing gets under your skin and just CRAWLS there. For one thing, what could be more terrifying than a man haunted by The Carpenters' "We've Only Just Begun?" I doubt if you'll hear much screaming in the theater (I could be wrong about that), but a lot of people are going to be sleeping with the lights on when it's over.

Saw the movie today and enjoyed it.
I must say there are some interesting paralells to The Dark tower.
Also interesting where in a scene the father walks out on the family to "get some smokes".
Movie and Dark Tower Spoiler alert:
There is a scene with a freestanding door that appears in the movie. Also, there is a whole loop thing going on where when it seems the horror ends, it begins anew.

Ummm...did someone remove the "1408" pic that I placed in the first post of this thread?

Its kind of necessary for the site page. :D

Saw this one with AJ a couple nights ago.

I really loved it, in a "dont freak out thats its not 100% to the story" kind of way lol.

I wanted to see 2 things happen in the film, the line "My brother was eaten by wolveson the connecticut turnpike" and the phone voices "6 this is 6! all of your friends are dead" and they both showed up.

John Cusak is, and will always be one of my favorite actors and I thought he was perfect for it.
