After posting thread Flatsigned or inscribed, I realized I owned several cool inscribed King novels...Again, inscriptions are a "personal" thing, and these following came to mind for me.....before the pics, a shout out to RoseanneBarr who I believe has the coolest inscribed Gunslinger I've ever seen (Grand Prize Winner here!)

This is a Salem's Lot dated 2 WEEKS before publication and Flip was King's college roommate for a while:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/159.jpg

This too is a Salem's Lot...David Lyon is mostly a poem writer and was published with King in Moth...I sold a couple things for David a few years ago and bought this copy for myself. Even King makes mistakes! He inscribed to David Lyons when his name is actually David Lyon (no "s")

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/237.jpg

I just bought this Dead Zone two months ago because the inscription appealed to me:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/322.jpg

I've always liked this Misery inscription:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/420.jpg

Different Seasons....I have a "thing" for Lard-ass Hogan. I just posted this pic recently:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/517.jpg

I've always loved that I own the Lettered Regulators but especially because the check is made out to Betts...how appropriate!

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/613.jpg

Needful Things...I've always liked this inscription:

http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/519/medium/72.jpg

These are some of my top-rated (by me anyway) inscribed King stories, Thought I'd share....feel free to do the same, I know there are some spectacular ones out there.

Do you also have the inscribed 'IT' to dave, with the doodle and inscription saying we all float down here?

Love all those inscriptions!

I have one that's nice (but I don't know if it'd qualify :) ). It was signed to Jonathan Demme (director of Silence of the Lambs):

My mistake, I thought you’d had that, something I’d love to find for my shelves, after I complete my s/l needs.

I have an inscribed IT to myself and my son; wishing him a happy birthday with a doodled ballon and saying we all float. That was a Haven fund grand prize and a treasure for sure

I have only a bare handful of non-S/L signed King books. This was my most recent acquisition, in October of last year. It was from an eBay auction from a client of David's that was posted on the forums, but David convinced the seller to de-list and sell to me directly.

An ARC in pretty much perfect condition, signed in the year of publication.

It's probably my favorite inscription in my collection, relating an interesting fact about King:

For Douglas Ross -
From a man who was,
according to his mother, conceived
in the town where Lizzie Borden
"took her ax."

That is a nice one Lotuz. Unfortunately, my best inscription is a library version of Night Shift. But I still love it.

Night Shift with mention of editor Frank Coffey and S52 in the gutter but not a 1st edition

IT signed to Mike and Christine Tricic who were on the production team for Creepshow 2.

Someone asked about a Bachman signature so... do we consider this inscribed or flatsigned??

I would update this from "kinda cool" to "very cool". A sig given in a limo! And the "(NYC pothole)" note! I love the quirky stuff like this. Super neat!!

I don't know if they are cool but here are the ones I have inscribed
first is S\L Firestarter
http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/500/medium/Fire2_00B_.jpg
This is from a Night Shift that I think is lib ed. But I like the inscription
http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/500/medium/phpDbeTrxAM.jpg
And this one I don't think I have a pic of but it's from a S\L authors copy of Drawing of The Three
"To Kaybird-
With admiraton, respect,
Thanks... and all my love
Steve King
6/14/87"
I like the fact that that this says Steve.
Those are the only inscribed ones I have, for now.

I don't collect signitures, flat or inscribed (except of course for limited editions).

I only have one inscription, and it is in a signed limited, A roman numeral Six Stories.

I bought it from ziesing.com, so I wonder if the Mark it is inscribed to is Mark Ziesing. I'm not sure it counts as cool, but I like that it might be an association copy.

I remember when you first shared this - what a get! The way he slants and shortens the writing is so neat. Probably the coolest placement of a sig I've seen.
