I stayed away from The Fountain back in the day because I remember it wasn't that well received. I've heard good things over the years. I found it the other day, so I hope to watch it before my 80th birthday.

Mike.

I'm torn on The Fountain. It's well made, artistic, and has a lot it wants to say, but it just didn't do it for me. It's been a while since I've seen it so I don't remember too much about it. I'd say it's worth a watch, though. It's not a "bad" film at all.

The Fountain gets a lot of hate because of its sappiness (and rest assured, it is pretty sappy) - but beneath the melodramatic veneer is actually a great film about love and the circle of life and death. Its a sensory experience that needs to be... well um, experienced at least once.

Yeah, this is a lot of what I've been hearing in recent years. I'm looking forward to the eventual watch.
