Yes, Zombieland has a place amongst the great modern comedies.

The Incredibles is animation royalty.

Session 9 is one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen.

How? How is Session 9 in seventh place? It is literally one of the scariest films of all time, something King fans should be all over one would think?

I suspect that's part of what's going on is that, while Session 9 is not quite what I would call "obscure," neither is awareness of it quite that high (a problem plaguing many films in this tournament). It seems that everyone I hear from who has seen it has liked it (not so many "meh" or "not good" comments).

Session 9 needs just one vote to tie for sixth :panic:

If anyone hasn't seen this masterpiece of atmosphere, it's streaming with Starz right now if you have it. Or maybe on-demand.

Session 9 is amazing. I too am surprised that more people either haven't seen it or haven't liked it. It seems like it would appeal to a majority of the members here. Hopefully it can get one more vote.

That scene where he's running down that long hallway as the lights shut off behind him always gave me the creeps.

"The creeps" is putting it mildly.

The one thing I remember most about that film is the voice on the cassette tapes. GD.

Like I mentioned in another thread, I don't see it.

I just watched the film the other day and I made sure it was late at night, and while I enjoyed it, I'm not sure I understand all the love for it. I guess if I saw it back in 2001 I would have been more impressed, but at this point, I've seen other films create better atmosphere.

In order for me to be engaged in a film like Session 9, I have to give a shit about at least one of the characters and I gave zero shits about any of them. It's possible it was hyped up too much for me.
