I think this is the first poll of 8 where I only voted for one film (AI)

Them (Ils) has been on my radar for a long time but I've never gotten a chance to watch it. I wonder if I can find it on Prime.

Really? In such a strong group? AI is awesome but Kingdom of Heaven is also criminally underrated. So is Apocalypto. Not to mention United 93 and Before Sunset.

I vote the way I vote. I've seen them all, but only one gets my vote. It gives weight to my vote, and doesn't dilute it.

I do hope AI goes far. It’s a near masterpiece.

Please, please, please watch it before you vote. It's so good! It's one of my favorite horror films :)

I'm shocked Kingdom of Heaven only has two votes with 17 votes cast...

I too only voted for 1, but it was LOTR. At one time this was my very favorite movie (but I am now burned out on it, and it is probably not in top 10 anymore).

Only seen 3 in this category. A.I. and KoH. Neither was vote worthy for me.

I liked it a lot but I guessed what was happening before the reveal, still made it creepy though. I love french horror films from this time period!

Yes, Feev, watch it! Heather got me to watch it and it's fantastic.

Tommy, I definitely didn't guess the ending, but I agree: super creepy.

Yes, best to know nothing going into it. I thought the film was filled with tension from beginning to end.

Tommy, I really wanted to nominate High Tension, but we ran out of spots before I was able to :(

High Tension is definitely good but I felt like that ending was cheating a little bit. I still like it though. I love Frontier(s), Sheitan, In My Skin and loads more I'd have to look the names up for. I've been trying for a decade to get people to watch Inside on here and nobody will. I loved Martyrs too but that is one sick movie. You have to be in a certain mood to go on that journey....

I thought Roger Ebert had a great line about High Tension. As I recall, he didn't like the movie much and gave it a below average rating. But I love his take on the ending. Ah, I found the quote:

The rest of the movie you will have to see for yourself -- or, not, which would be my recommendation. I am tempted at this point to issue a Spoiler Warning and engage in discussion of several crucial events in the movie that would seem to be physically, logically and dramatically impossible, but clever viewers will be able to see for themselves that the movie's plot has a hole that is not only large enough to drive a truck through, but in fact does have a truck driven right through it.

Ha!

Disclosure: I haven't seen it myself.

Heather! How could you let this happen?

Them! was the first film I got from Netflix after you sent me the free trial. You wanted me to see it that bad. It's a really good film too.

I know, I was shocked myself because I could have sworn I told him to watch it ages ago. Hopefully he's finally gotten around to it :D

And Tommy, I've been dying to see Inside, only problem is I can't seem to find it streaming anywhere, nor can I get the actual DVD from Netflix :(

Yeah I was really upset it didn't move on, I'm not sure how many here have seen the Director's Cut though.

The directors cut was awesome. A lot of explanation, of events, especially at the start of the film. Oh well.
