IDW Publishing of San Diego will adapt Sleeping Beauties, the bestselling 2017 novel by Stephen King and Owen King, as a 10-part comic book epic by the international tandem of Canadian novelist Rio Youers (The Forgotten Girl) and London-based artist and architect Alison Sampson (Winnebago Graveyard).

I stopped getting The Stand comics just because splitting up such a story into monthly installments was a chore to read as it progressed at a snail's pace.

Doing that format on a novel that was already a slog to get through as is is going to be torture.

It's the 3rd book by Steve I couldn't finish Desperation/Dreamcatcher are the other 2.
I was surprised it wasn't funny, I loved Double Feature.

According to the preview, the collected version is planned for november

I dont know if the release has been postponed or not, IDW hasnt replied to me. But Amazon announces that the kindle version will start in june.
And they announce the volume 1 of the collected edition, for october

I thought SLEEPING BEAUTIES was pretty good (even though I may have disagreed with a few of the character's political ideas). Maybe I'll get an issue or two of the comic just for the heck of it.

And I am definitely not saying that because I have 31 copies of the novel, and hope to one day have 32 if I can ever afford to buy the lettered edition.

On April 15, Rio tweeted: Well, SLEEPING BEAUTIES, by myself, @alis_samp, and @Treestumped was supposed to drop today, but I guess you'll have to wait a little longer. (It'll be worth it, I promise you.)
