I'm kinda surprised The Green Mile is getting all this love, especially against these other three movies. It's a good movie but is it that good?

Some of you folks need to take off the Stephen King colored glasses.

At the risk of being stoned to death, I watched the original Pet Sematary the other day and I thought it was god awful. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen in a film. This is one of those films that deserves the upcoming remake.

You guys, The Green Mile is arguably one of the best adaptations of a King book. It's a quality film, great acting, directing. Yes, there is definitely a King effect on this board, I'm not denying that. But why all the hate for this one? It's the best of this group, in my opinion.

It's not the best Tom Hanks movie in this group, not for me :)

Forest Gump is such a struggle to watch though  Maybe I should try to give it another shot now.

L.A Confidential is the best film in this group for my money.

The Green Mile is a good film. I remember watching it when it came out, but I've had no desire to go back and watch it again.

But then again, I do not like the novel, either, hardly made it through the book. The film put me off with that cartoonish, disney-ish, fairy tale-ish stardust coming from the protagonist's mouth. When described verbally, it was passable; but when shown, it painfully reminded me of how Hollywood the whole thing is.

I like TGM (books and movie), but I see what you mean.
