I'm amazed What Dreams May Come is on here; I like it, but the only feedback I've ever heard outside my own home is how terrible it is.

I've never heard that. Why? What Dreams May Come is a wonderful film.

I remember watching it with my family when it came out and none of us liked it either. I will say I'd like to go back and revisit it though.

I'm glad Boyz n the Hood made it into the tournament, but I'm surprised Menace II Society didn't get nominated.

I considered nominating it but it's been so long I cant remember most of it. I do remember most of its spoof, "Don't be a Menace While..

It's a little heavy-handed, but the visuals and art design is incredible. The attention to detail and homages to a lot of classic painters and styles is incredibly impressive. It's no wonder it won best visual effects. I've wanted to rewatch it for awhile to see how they hold up. In terms of visuals, it's upper echelon of the 90's.

when exactly does it close? i am never able to add seven days to whatever date (there's also time difference that I got to learn to consider), and I have seen so pathetically few films from this bracket that I should try to watch at least What Dreams May Come, and maybe something else

yes, thank you sweetheart :rose:! I always remember that there was some place where to look (and remember that you have told me this on numerous occasions), but am always forgetting where it was!

By viewing results prior to voting, I believe it locks a person out from voting in that poll.

It shouldn't, I've done it before and then voted.

You are correct. I just tested it. After viewing results, I had to exit the thread, then return, and voting was possible.

Yeah, I have only seen 3 in this bracket, two of which I have no recollection of a single scene in the movie (naked gun, bill and ted). I gave Twister a mercy vote since I couldn't vote for 0 films.

I have watched What Dreams May Come, and it kinda incorporated everything I do not like about movies. (except the late Williams. Whom I love in whatever shape. Von Sydow too.) Maybe if I hadn't read the novel, it would have impressed me more favorably, but then again, I think if I hadn't read the novel I would have stopped watchinig some twenty minutes in.
