Where are all the photos from Missoula and Portland? Didn't anyone take any of the King's? I can't find any on Google either...

It was an amazing event in Portland. Sadly, neither the wife nor I got one of the signed books. :(

We loved how King and King played off of each other - my guess is that each event is unique to the next or the last. Fun stories of growing up in the SK house.

I did get a couple of decent pictures - I'll see if I can figure a way to get them up here tonight.

My group of four came out with two signed books last night! This whole experience really was in my favor from the begging with getting four second row tickets within seconds of the venue selling out, to now owning my only signed King book. As a collector on an extremely limited budget, this made me truly happy!

Out of two of us, we both got a signed book. I only took a few pictures because we were kind of far away and no one needs digitally zoomed camera phone pics.

We were in the front row of the second balcony.

Patrick's is about 350 ~ 400 steps to Selby Library. Wife and I checked it out yesterday.
Patrick's is located at 1481 Main St.
Jerome selected a good place to meet as Patrick's is considered an "Institution" in Sarasota.(quoting our AirBNB hosts).
There is limited parking at or by Library, however there is a parking garage nearby on N Palm Ave between Main St. & Cocoanut Ave

Portland was one of the best King events I have been too.

Good reading, dialogue was good, and the Kings were able to weed out the dumb audience questions.

Half our books were signed, so that is in line with the odds.

Alas.......no moth doodles.

I have one complaint....some knucklehead on the left balcony thought it would be ok to bring an infant to the event.

What is wrong with people?

Hope Toronto was a good time guys!

Toronto event was terrific - they were both in great humour, relaxed and have their “act” down as Owen joked. Quiz was on Firestarter and King was 3 for 4. Was a good crowd of around 1500. I was with my wife and we ended up with another signed copy plus i have an inscribed copy which was nice to get (technically I don’t have yet as was signed offsite and will be shipped to me). Is first time I went to 2 events on same tour and I have to say that I now see attraction of doing this. So much more polished than opening night in Brooklyn.

I loved the question asked about the DT books. A girl asked King if when he made the names Roland, Oy, Susannah and Eddie... he meant for their names to spell ROSE. King seemed very surprised and never thought of it before. It was funny. I was right in front of him second row and could see his facial expressions... he replied jokingly "of course". It was neat and every other question was stupid. One girl wanted to know how proud he was of the amazing show that was Under the Dome. King shut her down pretty quick. Lol

I'm at airport, and don't have time to edit and resize a bunch of pics (and I'm saving the sketch Maitz did of King until last).
I was in the back row (by choice), so the pic is not as good as it would be if I was closer, but the library had very good lighting.

"I'm a member of the website The Dark Tower .org, and every day we discuss the Dark Tower books. Are you going to grace us with another Dark Tower story?"

King waits a long second or so then answers emphatically: "YES".

Cue house applause, just shy of a standing ovation.

TTBOMR??

To the best of my recollection

Ah, of course!

webstar1000 (Kris) was chosen to ask a question, and TTBOMR, he said:

"I'm a member of the website The Dark Tower .org, and every day we discuss the Dark Tower books. Are you going to grace us with another Dark Tower story?"

King waits a long second or so then answers emphatically: "YES".

Cue house applause, just shy of a standing ovation.

Cool!
Now the question is... when

That is awesome. I love the Dali museum in Sarasota. If you have time definitely check it out. Have a great time!

The Dali museum is well worth the visit. BTW, it's in St. Petersburg, which is relatively close to Sarasota.

The Sarasota event was a lot of fun! I met some new members and reconnected with some older members. (How's that for a double entendre?)

Don Maitz was as interesting as ever. He was gracious enough to sign and remarque books for us.

The Kings' interaction was quite smooth. They were humorous and told many stories that I had not heard. Sai King still was able to use some of his usual bits though.

Had a fabulous time in Sarasota last night and loved meeting many of you! Big thank you again to Jerome for the awesome Don Maitz sketch. That was so kind of you. Sorry to miss the gathering and giveaway but I couldn't resist being in line for a front seat. So worth it too..felt like I was sitting with them on that stage!

Prior to the King(s) event, several of us got together to socialize. Don Maitz showed up to join us. Don brought several original pencil sketches and an A/P of a Suntup Desperation print.
Don also was kind enough to do some original remarques/art in books members brought. Near the conclusion of festivities, just prior to heading over to the library, I conducted a drawing and gave away 5 or 6 cool items. Thanks to Don for coming, and for donating all of the sketches. Thanks to Don, and Paul from Suntup for donating the A/P print.

Ok. I made you wait 15 minutes.

Maitz worked on several pieces as he was at the event. Here is one. Note he nailed how King looked that night, the t-shirt color is correct too.

I wasn't there. The pic I posted was from someone who was.
I was told (and have no reason to doubt) that Stephen King, Owen King, and Marsha DeFilippo were passengers and arrived in a Tesla.

Parked right beside us! And yes it was a navy blue Tesla. Lol and totally smashed the curb when they pulled up!

Not sure. Talked to him briefly and I think it was his brother.

Fun! Bummer I couldn’t make this one. Jim, well done on winning the print man, after our discussion in the car down to MA! Good to see all the familiar faces at the event. Sounds like you all had a blast.

THIS WAS A GREAT GATHERING..... Wonderful time visiting with Old and New friends and members.
The event and seeing the KING's is always interesting, humorous and worthwhile however getting together
with like-minded individuals before and after enhances the experience in a very special way.

.... and when provided with an opportunity to receive a spectacular "PRIZE" , Huw can I not rave.
Thanks so much RF for arranging, Don Maitz for creating and Paul (Zelig) for producing and donating
a finely displayed piece of art.

I'll be going to the St. Louis event. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm for a signed book. My wife and I went to Kansas City for the Revival book tour and my kids came along with us for the Louisville End of Watch tour and we had no luck with signed copies. We enjoyed seeing him at both events though.

I had the exact same luck. Except it was Tulsa instead of Louisvile. I bought 4 books in KC and none were signed and I missed out on tix to Tulsa. But I got in to St. Louis
