Up for auction is a custom bound copy of Stephen King's "Firestarter". This book was created using a US trade 1st edition, 1st printing hardback of "Firestarter". Dragon Rebound Editions is creating this phenomenal book.

Steven Stroud is the artist who created original art that was used on the cover of King's famous 1980 novel.
A signed original piece from Stroud is bound in the book.
Only 26 lettered editions, and a very few publisher copies are being made. This book will be designated "RC"
The books sold out almost immediately after the announcement.



NOTE: This book is still in production. Expected delivery date is 4-6 weeks after end of auction.
Please understand there will be a bit of a wait to receive the finished book.


A bit of info on the book:


This custom rebound edition of Firestarter by Stephen King uses the page block from an original Viking Trade First Edition Hardback.
The book is quarter bound in leather using the Bradel binding structure. The spine is covered in Nigerian goatskin and is tooled in gold with raised bands and woven silk headbands. The front and back boards are quartersawn Sycamore and are shaped at the edges to create an elegant cushion bevel. The wood is scorched and engraved. The marbled endpapers are handmade in Italy.
A signed limited edition giclée print of the original cover art by Steven Stroud is printed on textured fine art cotton rag paper. The print is included in an acid free mandarin booklet envelope. An original drawing signed by Steven Stroud is bound into the book. The book is housed in a custom handmade traycase.

Rebinder's Copy as opposed to Publisher's Copy.

Worth all day I bet. This book will gain in value a lot I am betting due to how cool and different it is. That is Paul's specialty... thinking out side the box with these... so COOL.
