So when I need a pick-me-up, I will be sure to check in here. Thanks y'all for saying such nice things.

Jonathan, you're welcome. Brian, right now nothing else is being auctioned. I have already donated a few items to the HF fundraiser, unless I'm not following ya.

There is a cool unboxing contest coming up and I'm expecting to see some videos from forum members. Will post details when I'm more awake. Been packing boxes all day long.

Sorry for the confusion, Paul. I was asking Jonathan about his auctions for his fund raiser.

Paul at Suntup Editions has graciously donated an Artist Proof copy of the Pet Sematary print (limited to only 10 copies and signed by the artist) to my annual AIDS fund. The auction is up now. I started it with a low price, hoping to get some generous bids. THANK YOU PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A reminder that this auction ends in 2 1/2 hours!!!!! Still at a good price for this rare item but please remember that this is for a deserving charity!

I think we are all aware of the standard of the items you produce. These lettered and signed limiteds cannot fail to impress. I never expected they would look so desirable. Yet again a brilliant conception and production.

Some items are essential to have in a collection, you have just published another one!!

Congratulations Paul.

Kinda. I reveal all the details on the 15th of the month for the upcoming month's print, but I will say that for August, it is a Dark Tower related print!

Interesting thing about that US proof, Palladini did a bunch of sketches before working on the final illustrations, and some are reprinted in the proof. One of them is that title page illustration. There were more done than what was in the proof, but as far as anyone knows, those are lost to the sands of time.

Well, I am taking a much-needed break for a moment. I have spent the past week or so working from morning until around 12am - 1am assembling and packing the portfolios.

Most were shipped today, and I am planning on finalizing any remaining orders tomorrow.

For those who have not seen it yet, I am excited to reveal some of the first product shots. There are more, but don't want to spoil any surprises for when you receive your copies.

A year in the making!

Enjoy!

Well I hate to be “that guy” but I have a real problem with this portfolio. I’m looking at these photos and can’t understand why more people aren’t complaining too. The issue is I only ordered the number and only seeing the tray case for the lettered I want to scream that I don’t have one coming to my house! The photos of the numbered are amazing so I am guessing that if I see the rest of the lettered I might lose my mind.

Thanks for posting those pictures Bruce. I actually love that green page! I got the idea when I saw a similar page in a swatch book from a paper supplier. But I completely customized this one. It is printed on a translucent sheet, the green color is printed on a clear sheet, and then a second run using a special printing process embosses that reptilian pattern on the surface. So when you run your fingers over it, you can feel the scales.

The debossed scales on the Title page were blind-stamped on the letterpress machine. That page actually had to go through three separate printings on the same page to achieve the results you see.

So thanks for all the comments everyone. This project was a massive undertaking. I'll spare you the gory details for now, but it was a year of non-stop work to publish these editions. I hope you all enjoy them. I know they have not all been delivered yet, but all orders have now shipped. So it's just a matter of time. Great idea James. Not sure why I didn't think of this, but Mark Strong who wrote the bio suggested I film him, so I am planning on doing that. I'll take my Canon camera and a tripod, and use the video function to film it all.

I just opened my numbered edition of THE EYES OF THE DRAGON ART PORTFOLIO, and I have to admit this is one project that is worth WAY more than what it cost, not only financially, but emotionally and artistically as well. It was just one exciting surprise after another to see what what was included in the box! I'm almost afraid to touch it, it's so beautiful (even the wrapping paper is like...you know...totally awesome, dude!).

And, drum-roll please...EVERY single piece of tape was FOLDED OVER on itself for ease of removal! What will they think of next!!!

Regarding the envelope requests:

Bruce, I'll include your promo envelope with your print order on Aug 1st. Tommy, same for you. Chad, I put your envelope in the mail today.

Paul,
I also need an extra promo envelope, I tore mine pretty good getting it open! Maybe I was too eager.
I also want to add my congratulations. I personally think you set the bar for. ALL future art print sets with the EOTD.
The attention to detail is excellent, the quality is top notch, the presentation is original and creative. I vote 10-10-10!
Congrats!

GOLDEN TICKET PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: When we launched THE COVERS COLLECTION series of fine art prints, one of the orders we shipped was chosen at random to receive a Golden Ticket. We are happy to announce that the winner of our GOLDEN TICKET prize is Mark Feely, who sent us these fantastic pics of his library.

Paul, please tell us more about that piece!

I asked Dave if he would be up for making a custom sketch for the winner of the Golden Ticket. He said sure. I told him that I will leave it completely up to him as to what he does, and can do any size he wants. I was expecting something along the lines of a black & white remarque-style drawing. Anyway, a few weeks later, I get this in the mail.

He had the following to say: "It is the burning Hotel and is a bit more than a drawing, there is airbrush, colored pencils, and some gouache. I thought it should have color…" He went above and beyond!

So it's an original painting. One of a kind. I neglected to note the size, but it was roughly 18" x 12".

ok, i feel stupid asking, but I fear I must :)

I realized I didn't recall seeing the letter anywhere on my lettered EOTD Art Portfolio so I went back to look. I see that I have number 7 of 26...is that a G imprinted in the bottom right of the numbered print? I assume it is...I see the G, but there is something else there as well and I didn't know if it was just the fancy font or if I was missing something obvious lol

Hi James. What Bruce said, but you should have a signature sheet toward the back of the portfolio, right after Palladini's afterword. It's under the green sheet. That page will have your letter written in. If you don't have it, let me know. Looks like you have the added benefit of the embossed "G" matching your letter, but that's just a coincidence, as it's the "G" in Jon Goodman's last name. ;-)

Edit: Was typing my reply when you posted, so missed it. Yup, you got it.

Well, luckily, both the numbered and the lettered editions are unscathed. PHEW! The only thing that sustained damage was the exterior box that contained the lettered edition. I must say that Paul has been great through this process. He even offered to send me a new box. What a guy! I will posting some pics soon. They are so impressive. Was perusing the dinged sale last night, went to regular stuff and clicked Waste Lands Large Unframed Remarqued ... and much to my surprise there was one available. I had done the same on day of release right after I got the e-mail but wasn't able to add to cart; I figured it was pre-sold out, and that was that. Didn't look again until last night. Texted w/Paul just to make sure this wasn't a glitch, turns out the glitch was on day of release. If anyone is interested, you might want go back and check on something you thought you missed out on ... there was at least one Waste Lands Large Remarqued still available. Glad I did!

I had no idea you had gone to that much effort on this video! It cracked me up. The way you coordinated the timing of the postal delivery was an amazing feat. And I also saw the final scene. Probably the scariest 3 seconds ever recorded on film!

Great job on the video Jerome!

Probably more frightening than "Here's Johnny" in The Shining.

Can't.
#1- I never opened the actual EOTD portfolio.
#2-Since Paul helped in the video, he can't honestly choose me as the winner.
#3-I disqualified myself to Paul prior to posting the video.

The fun was had in the whole creation of the video.

Whole heartedly agree. It was a blast being involved in the creation of this. I'd only really dabbled with video editing before and this production has taught me so much. Thanks again to Jerome for inviting me to participate.

Oh and if you think the ending was scary, you should see some of what what ended up on the cutting room floor...:scared:

Hey Tommy. That's a mistake. Here is the pricing for The Dark Tower Paperback Covers prints:

Small - Retail: $65 / Subscriber price: $52 (Set is $104)
Large - Retail: $120 / Subscriber price: $96 (Set is $192)

Sorry for the confusion.

Paul I just need to congratulate you on having one of the best businesses out there with customer service to rival the rest. I got an email from one of your guys this weekend saying that you tried to send me a card but it got returned to due bad address. Now most companies would have just said screw it we tired to be nice and he didn't update his information so whatever, but you guys took the time to email me, get the right address then pay for postage twice to send it to me.
So with that I say thank you!

Well, that's good to hear. I spent a lot of time figuring out the best type of packing for the prints and then finding the right size boxes, etc. All hail ULINE!

Also, if you missed it, EVERYONE who submitted an unboxing video will get the 18" x 18" signed gallery wrap. So everyone is a winner! So much better that way, isn't it....

For those who did not see the notice, the archival folio boxes arrived yesterday. I am really happy with how they turned out, and I'm not easy to please when it comes to things like this. I will be shipping those orders out starting this week.

It is not easy to make a video. Especially when the help is volunteering!

I was going to use a video loop of Suntup's video with David Palladini signing the portfolios on the TV. In the end I just got Shawshanked!

Also the battery of the phone started dying. You can hear a beeping noise near the end of the video. That's why I rushed through the lettered edition.

I also thought of things to say after it was over.

Overall it was fun though.

Looking good Brian!

Thanks, Simon.

I had a great time tonight at the Stephen King Film Series at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. They played Cujo, Pet Sematary and Graveyard Shift on the big screen. I didn't stay around for Graveyard Shift as it started at midnight, and I was too tired, still had an hour drive to get home.

After each movie, there was a panel discussion with some cast members and the filmmakers. I was sitting directly in front of Dee Wallace, and hearing her comment periodically about various scenes of Cujo as we watched it, was a very unique experience. Also in attendance was Lewis Teague, director of Cujo, Denise Crosby and Brad Greenquist from Pet Sematary.

Pictures are a little blurry, but here's yours truly with Dee Wallace

https://suntup.press/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/IMG_0804.JPG

And with Denise Crosby and Brad Greenquist from Pet Sematary.

https://suntup.press/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/IMG_0806.JPG

While we were standing in line, the guy who won the Pet Sematary print was standing right in front of us, and he had someone take his picture with the two stars and his print which I though was cool, so I took this shot.

Thanks for the comments. It was so good to meet Dee. I have very clear memories of watching Cujo, and E.T. of course as a teenager and seeing her in person was a treat. The best was hearing her comments during various scenes as we were watching the movie. And of course, you know I'm going to ask her if she'd sign something for a possible future Cujo rebound, just for fun.

I should have mentioned the two Grand Prize winners were Tommy and Stephen Bamberg. In addition to the wrap, they each get a $200 gift certificate to use at the Suntup store. All others who made a video get the wrap and a 10% coupon.

Yeah, the colors are amazing, and incredibly vibrant. The canvas wraps were produced on the same printer as The Covers Collection prints. I have not seen better. Wait until you see Needful Things. It's spectacular.

As for the dragon thing, I've always liked dragons. I think it started with the 'life-size' one I had made way back when. There's a picture of it on the DRE about page. That was a great dragon. Someone once bumped their head on its tooth, which was rock hard, so we replaced it with a rubber version. As I was writing this, I remembered I still have the tooth we removed, and I just found it. Haven't looked at this for a long time.

Nice article on SYFYWIRE about the Covers prints.

Better get working on the Shining one the person requested.

There were some great paperback covers. One that comes to mind was the all black one for Salem's Lot with the drop of blood on the kids lip.

Thanks all. And I'm already working some angles to get The Shining paperback cover. Can't say if it'll work out though, but will give it a shot. Would have to be a silver foil type print to replicate the style of the cover.

I've been neglecting my collecting itch lately, but have started scratching it again. To that end, I finally took the plunge and subscribed to the covers collection w/ folio box. Looking forward to seeing these in person!

Hey Paul, I called you Simon in my note when I ordered. I still had his post this morning (Waterstone's Sleeping Beauties S/L) on my brain. How embarrassing. Sorry about that!

Paul, one quick question. Can someone who purchased prints individually buy a subscription afterwards but without having to buy repeated prints?
